Enskede IK and Angby IF shared the spoils in a thrilling 2–2 draw in Sweden Division 2 on Saturday evening. The match swung back and forth, with both sides taking the lead before settling for a point apiece.

Fast start from Enskede

Enskede IK came flying out of the blocks and took the lead inside five minutes. A quick passing move on the edge of the box found Marcus Lindqvist, who drilled a low shot past the Angby goalkeeper. The home side continued to dominate the early stages, with Lindqvist hitting the post in the 12th minute.

Angby IF slowly found their rhythm and equalised in the 28th minute. A long throw-in was flicked on by Erik Nilsson, and Simon Bergström was on hand to volley home from close range. The score remained 1–1 at half-time.

Second-half drama

The second half was just as eventful. Enskede regained the lead in the 54th minute when a corner was only partially cleared and Johan Forsberg smashed the ball into the net from the edge of the area. Angby responded again, and their perseverance paid off in the 71st minute when Oscar Dahl capitalised on a defensive mix-up to slot home the equaliser.

Both teams pushed for a winner in the closing stages. Enskede thought they had scored in the 84th minute, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Angby almost snatched victory in stoppage time when Hugo Lindgren fired just over the bar from a free kick.

Table impact

The draw leaves Enskede IK in fifth place in the Sweden Division 2 standings, while Angby IF remain just outside the top six. Both teams will feel they could have won, but a point apiece is perhaps a fair reflection of an evenly contested match.
