BK Häcken Women produced one of the most emphatic results of the 2026 Damallsvenskan season on 4 October, crushing IK Uppsala Women 9-0 at Bravida Arena in Gothenburg. The nine-goal victory underlined Häcken's title credentials and delivered a serious boost to their goal difference as the campaign moved into its closing weeks.

A statement win in the title race

Häcken went into the match knowing that every point — and every goal — could matter in a tightly contested Damallsvenskan table. They answered that pressure with a performance of complete control, pressing Uppsala high, moving the ball quickly through the lines and finishing with a clinical edge that turned a routine home fixture into a rout. The scoreline was the largest of Häcken's season and one of the biggest in the league all year.

How the match unfolded

The hosts set the tone inside the opening exchanges, pinning Uppsala deep and forcing a series of early corners. The breakthrough arrived before the quarter-hour mark and, once the first goal went in, the resistance largely crumbled. Häcken led comfortably at half-time and then accelerated after the interval, adding goals in waves as Uppsala's back line struggled to cope with the pace and movement of the home attack.

Key moments

• Early opener: Häcken's high press forced a turnover and the first goal arrived inside the opening 15 minutes.
• Half-time control: The hosts went in with a commanding lead and never looked like surrendering momentum.
• Second-half surge: A flurry of goals after the restart removed any lingering doubt and pushed the scoreline into record territory.
• Clean sheet: Häcken's defence, largely untroubled, completed the shutout and protected their goalkeeper's goal difference.

Standout players

Häcken's forward line shared the spoils, with Anna Anvegård leading the charge and Elin Rubensson dictating tempo from midfield. Filippa Curmark's energy in the middle third repeatedly turned possession into attacking transitions, while the substitutes added fresh legs and late goals against a tiring Uppsala side. For IK Uppsala, it was a chastening afternoon, but the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat.

What it means for the table

The result strengthens Häcken's position in the upper reaches of the Damallsvenskan standings and gives them a significant goal-difference advantage in any potential title race. For Uppsala, the priority now is recovery: a heavy loss like this can damage confidence, and the coaching staff will be looking for a response in their next fixture. In a league where margins at the top are often measured in single goals, Häcken's nine-goal statement could yet prove decisive.
