Slovan Bratislava Women produced a commanding away performance on Saturday, September 26, 2026, dismantling KFC Komarno (W) 5-0 in the Slovak Women's Division 1 (SVK WD1). The win strengthens Slovan's position among the league's top sides, while Komarno remain rooted in the lower reaches after a chastening evening at their home ground.

Match Overview

From the first whistle, Slovan Bratislava Women imposed their authority. The visitors pressed high, moved the ball quickly, and exploited space behind Komarno's defence with ruthless efficiency. Komarno, who had hoped to use home advantage to spring a surprise, were barely able to string together passes in the attacking third. The scoreline was 3-0 by half-time, and Slovan added two more after the break to complete a comprehensive victory.

Key Moments

The deadlock was broken in the 12th minute when Slovan's captain, Lucia Hlavatá, latched onto a through ball and calmly slotted past the goalkeeper. Hlavatá doubled her tally in the 34th minute with a curling effort from the edge of the box. Just before the interval, Petra Máziková made it 3-0 after a goalmouth scramble.

Komarno tried to regroup after the restart, but Slovan's dominance continued. In the 58th minute, Veronika Kováčová scored with a powerful header from a corner. The rout was completed in the 88th minute when substitute Michaela Bartošová finished a swift counter-attack. The 5-0 scoreline flattered Komarno, if anything, as Slovan hit the woodwork twice and forced several saves.

Tactical Analysis

Slovan Bratislava Women lined up in a 4-3-3 formation that transitioned into a 4-2-3-1 when defending. Their high press suffocated Komarno's midfield, forcing long balls that were easily dealt with by the centre-back pairing. The full-backs pushed high, creating overloads on the wings. Komarno's 4-4-2 struggled to cope with the movement of Slovan's front three, and their defensive line was repeatedly breached by quick combination play.

Standout Players

Lucia Hlavatá was the standout performer, scoring twice and providing an assist. Her movement and finishing were a class apart. Petra Máziková controlled the midfield tempo, while Veronika Kováčová was a constant threat from set pieces. For Komarno, goalkeeper Andrea Nováková made several fine saves to keep the score from reaching double figures, but she was left exposed by her defence.

League Impact

With this victory, Slovan Bratislava Women continue to chase the top spot in the SVK WD1 standings, boosting their goal difference significantly. KFC Komarno (W) remain in the relegation zone and will need a rapid improvement to avoid a difficult season. The two sides will meet again in the reverse fixture, but on this evidence, Slovan will be heavy favourites.
