Tactical story

Dukla Banska Bystrica Women struggled to build from the back and were often forced into long passes. When they did manage to get into attacking areas, Myjava’s defenders recovered well. The home side’s late goal was a reward for their persistence, but it came too late to change the game.

Standout performers

Myjava’s attacking players were the difference. Their forward line combined well, and the midfielder who dictated the tempo in the centre of the pitch was central to their control. The goalkeeper also made an important save at 2-0, preventing Dukla from building momentum before half-time.

For Dukla Banska Bystrica Women, the goalkeeper made several stops to keep the score from becoming even more one-sided, while the substitute who scored the late consolation showed good movement and determination.

Season impact

The three points strengthen TJ Spartak Myjava Women’s position in the SVK WD1 standings and underline their attacking quality. A 4-1 away win is the kind of result that can build belief and put pressure on the teams around them.

Dukla Banska Bystrica Women will need to regroup quickly. The defeat highlighted the importance of protecting the ball in midfield and defending transitions better. With the next fixture approaching, the focus will be on restoring confidence and producing a more compact performance.
