OFK Malzenice delivered a commanding 3-0 victory over FC ViOn Zlate Moravce-Vrable in the Slovak 2. Liga on 25 October 2026, producing a performance that underlined their ambition in the promotion race. The home side were sharper from the opening whistle, controlled the key moments, and turned a narrow half-time advantage into a comfortable win with two well-worked second-half goals.

Match Overview

Played under the lights in a 17:30 kick-off, the contest pitted Malzenice’s growing momentum against a ViOn Zlate Moravce-Vrable side with a proud footballing pedigree. The visitors arrived expecting to impose their experience, but Malzenice refused to sit back. Instead, the home team pressed high, moved the ball quickly through midfield, and forced ViOn into a series of hurried clearances.

The opening goal changed the mood of the match. Once Malzenice found the breakthrough, they looked increasingly confident, while ViOn struggled to sustain possession in dangerous areas. The second half belonged almost entirely to the home side, who added two more goals and managed the game with maturity.

Key Moments

• 18th minute: Malzenice took the lead after a patient build-up down the right. A low cross into the box was met with a composed finish, sending the home crowd into early celebration.
• 52nd minute: The home side doubled their advantage shortly after the restart. A quick turnover in midfield released the attack, and a precise strike from the edge of the area gave the ViOn goalkeeper no chance.
• 78th minute: Malzenice sealed the result with a third goal, finishing off a flowing move that stretched the visitors’ defence from one side to the other.
• Late save: The home goalkeeper preserved the clean sheet with a strong stop in the closing stages, capping a disciplined defensive display.

Tactical Story

Malzenice’s shape was compact without the ball and adventurous with it. The midfield pressed in coordinated bursts, forcing ViOn to play long or sideways, and the back line stepped up aggressively to squeeze space. When possession was won, the home team looked to attack quickly through the channels rather than settle for slow buildup.

ViOn Zlate Moravce-Vrable never found a consistent rhythm. Their midfield was often bypassed, and their forwards were isolated against a well-organised defensive unit. As the game wore on, the visitors’ frustration grew, and Malzenice’s control became more pronounced.

Standout Performers

The Malzenice striker led the line with intelligence, holding up play and bringing teammates into the match before getting on the scoresheet. In midfield, the home side’s engine room combined energy with composure, repeatedly winning second balls and setting the tempo. At the back, the central defenders dealt confidently with ViOn’s attempts to fight back, while the goalkeeper made the one crucial save required to secure the shutout.

Season Impact

Three points and a clean sheet make this a significant result for OFK Malzenice in the Slovak 2. Liga standings. It strengthens their position in the promotion conversation and gives the squad belief ahead of a demanding run of fixtures. For ViOn Zlate Moravce-Vrable, the defeat is a reminder that reputation alone will not deliver results in a competitive league, and their response in the coming weeks will be closely watched.
