Tactical story

Nitra’s victory was built on midfield dominance and intelligent movement off the ball. Their double pivot controlled the tempo, allowing the full-backs to advance and create overloads on the flanks. Komarno B struggled to track runners from deep, and Nitra repeatedly found space between the lines.

The hosts also pressed intelligently, winning the ball back quickly after losing possession. That prevented Komarno B from building any sustained momentum. The only blemish for Nitra was the concession just before half-time, a reminder that their high line can be exposed by quick direct passes.

Standout players

Šimko was the standout with two well-taken goals and sharp link-up play. Lacko controlled the midfield and added a goal, while Horváth was a constant threat with his dribbling. For Komarno B, the young goalkeeper made several saves to keep the scoreline from becoming even more one-sided.

What the result means

Nitra move forward with confidence and send a clear message to their promotion rivals in the Slovak 3. Liga standings. The five-goal performance highlights their attacking depth and ability to dominate weaker opposition. Komarno B will need to regroup quickly, particularly defensively, after a difficult evening against one of the division’s strongest sides.
