MFK Vranov nad Topou 2–2 MFK Spartak Medzev: Six-Goal Thriller Ends in Stalemate

MFK Vranov nad Topou and MFK Spartak Medzev shared the points in an entertaining 2–2 draw in the Slovak 3.Liga on Friday night. The match swung back and forth, providing plenty of drama for the neutral spectators.

Vranov started brightly and took the lead in the 15th minute. A well-struck volley from the edge of the area gave the home side an early advantage. Medzev responded with patience, gradually working their way into the game. They levelled just before the half-hour mark when a defensive mix-up allowed their striker to tap into an empty net.

The second half was even more open. Vranov regained the lead in the 52nd minute with a clinical finish from a counter-attack. But Medzev refused to give up. They pushed forward relentlessly and earned a deserved equaliser with 20 minutes left on the clock, a fine individual effort from their winger who cut inside and curled the ball into the far corner.

Both sides had chances to snatch a winner in the closing stages. Vranov hit the crossbar, while Medzev saw a goal-bound shot cleared off the line. The final whistle confirmed a draw that was probably a fair result given the balance of play. The point keeps both teams in the middle of the Slovak 3.Liga standings, with much still to play for in the season ahead.
