FK Rača Bratislava and DAC Dunajská Streda B played out a competitive 2-2 draw in the Slovak 3. Liga on Sunday, 27 September 2026, with both sides taking a point from a match that ebbed and flowed from start to finish.

The game kicked off at 16:30 and produced four goals, a handful of near-misses, and a tense finale. In the end, neither team could find a winner, but the performance levels on display suggested both will be competitive in the division this season.

Match Overview

FK Rača Bratislava started the stronger of the two sides and took the lead in the first half with a well-crafted goal. A patient passing sequence ended with a low cross into the box, and the finish was clinical. DAC Dunajská Streda B responded before the break, equalising with a fine individual effort from the edge of the area that gave the goalkeeper no chance.

The second half was equally entertaining. Rača regained the lead from the penalty spot after a foul in the box, but their joy was short-lived. DAC Dunajská Streda B pushed forward in search of another equaliser and found it with a well-placed header from a corner, setting up a frantic final fifteen minutes in which both teams had chances to win it.

Tactical Story

FK Rača Bratislava looked to control the game through midfield, using short passes to draw their opponents out of position before attacking the space behind. Their penalty came from exactly that kind of move, with a driving run into the box forcing a mistimed challenge. Defensively, however, they struggled with crosses, and both DAC goals originated from wide areas.

DAC Dunajská Streda B were happy to sit slightly deeper and hit on the counter. Their equalisers showed two different strings to their bow: a moment of individual brilliance for the first and a well-rehearsed set-piece for the second. They defended resolutely in the closing stages to ensure they left with a point.

Standout Players

For FK Rača Bratislava, the attacking midfielder was the driving force, involved in both goals and constantly probing for openings. The left-winger also caused problems with his direct running. DAC Dunajská Streda B's goalkeeper made several important saves, while their centre-back was dominant in the air and scored the late equaliser. The visiting captain controlled the tempo in midfield and rarely gave the ball away.

Season Impact

Both teams will feel this was a point gained rather than two dropped, given the balance of play. FK Rača Bratislava remain in a solid position in the Slovak 3. Liga table, while DAC Dunajská Streda B continue to show the resilience that makes them a tough opponent for anyone in the division. The race for promotion and the battle to avoid the drop are both likely to go down to the wire, and matches like this underline just how competitive the league is.
