Haute-Ajoie 1-3 FC Bosna 2002: Clinical visitors claim Swiss D4 away win

FC Bosna 2002 produced a sharp, efficient away performance in Swiss D4 on 8 October 2026, defeating Haute-Ajoie 3-1 in the Jura region. The visitors scored at key moments, absorbed pressure when needed, and punished defensive mistakes to take all three points.

Haute-Ajoie had spells of possession and created chances of their own, but they were undone by Bosna’s counter-attacking speed and clinical finishing. The result leaves the home side searching for consistency, while Bosna 2002 celebrate an important road victory.

Match overview

Haute-Ajoie began the match with a patient build-up, looking to move Bosna 2002 around and create openings through the middle. The home side enjoyed more of the ball in the opening 20 minutes, but their final pass often lacked precision.

Bosna 2002, by contrast, were content to sit slightly deeper and spring forward on the break. Their compact 4-2-3-1 shape made it difficult for Haute-Ajoie to find space between the lines, and whenever the home side lost possession, Bosna looked dangerous in transition.

The game’s momentum shifted permanently in the first half. Bosna took the lead with their first clear chance, Haute-Ajoie equalised through a well-worked move, but the visitors regained control before half-time and never looked back after adding a third in the closing stages.

Key moments

• 18th minute – 0-1: Edin Muratović opened the scoring for FC Bosna 2002, finishing calmly after a quick counter down the right. Haute-Ajoie’s defence was caught too high, and Muratović made no mistake from inside the box.
• 41st minute – 1-1: Haute-Ajoie responded before the break. Lucas Girard found space at the back post and converted a deep cross, giving the home crowd hope of a comeback.
• 63rd minute – 1-2: Bosna retook the lead through Adnan Hadžić, whose low shot from 18 yards slipped under the goalkeeper. It was a crucial moment, coming just as Haute-Ajoie were beginning to build momentum.
• 84th minute – 1-3: Muratović sealed the win with his second goal of the night, racing onto a through ball and lifting his finish over the advancing keeper.

Haute-Ajoie pushed forward late in search of a second goal, but Bosna 2002 managed the closing minutes well. Their back line cleared several dangerous crosses, and the midfield kept possession in the corners to run down the clock.

Tactical story

FC Bosna 2002’s game plan was clear: stay compact, invite pressure, and attack with speed. Their two holding midfielders screened the defence effectively, forcing Haute-Ajoie to play wide. Once the ball went out wide, Bosna doubled up on the flanks and won it back.

Haute-Ajoie’s build-up was patient but predictable. They struggled to break through the central corridor and often resorted to crosses that were well defended. When they did find joy, it came from quick combinations on the left, but those moments were too infrequent.

The decisive difference was transition play. Bosna 2002 repeatedly turned defence into attack in seconds, and Haute-Ajoie’s back four could not handle the direct running of Muratović and Hadžić. The third goal was a perfect example: a simple interception, a forward pass, and a composed finish.

Standout players

Edin Muratović was the outstanding player on the pitch, scoring twice and constantly threatening with his movement. Adnan Hadžić added the crucial second goal and worked tirelessly in midfield. Goalkeeper Tarik Begić made several important saves, particularly in the first half, to keep Bosna ahead.

For Haute-Ajoie, Lucas Girard was the bright spot, taking his goal well and trying to drive the team forward. Midfielder Mathieu Favre also showed good energy, but the home side lacked the final touch in the attacking third.

Season impact

The win gives FC Bosna 2002 valuable momentum in the Swiss D4 campaign. Away victories are often hard to come by in this division, and this performance shows Bosna can mix defensive discipline with ruthless counter-attacking. They move up the table and will take confidence into their next fixture.

Haute-Ajoie remain in a difficult patch. The home defeat highlights the need to improve their defensive transitions and find more creativity against compact opponents. With the season still long, they have time to recover, but they will need to start turning possession into points quickly.

For Bosna 2002, the challenge is to build on this result and turn it into a run. If Muratović and Hadžić continue to combine so effectively, they could become one of the more dangerous attacking units in the division.
