Villarrubia CF 4-0 CD Guadalajara B: Ruthless Hosts Run Rampant

Villarrubia CF produced a dominant 4-0 victory over CD Guadalajara B in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF, delivering one of their most complete performances of the campaign. The hosts combined high pressing with clinical finishing, scoring twice in each half to turn a potentially awkward fixture into a comfortable win.

The match was played on Sunday, 18 October 2026, and Villarrubia set the tone from the opening minutes. Guadalajara B struggled to cope with the intensity of the home side’s press and were punished for loose touches in dangerous areas.

Match Overview

Villarrubia opened the scoring early and never allowed the visitors to settle. The hosts dominated possession, created chances from wide areas, and defended with concentration whenever Guadalajara B managed to break forward. By half-time the contest was already firmly under control.

Key Moments

• 9th minute: Villarrubia CF took the lead when a high press forced a turnover and the ball was tucked away from inside the box.
• 27th minute: The second goal arrived from a low cross that was converted at the back post.
• 52nd minute: A quick counter-attack made it 3-0, with the forward finishing confidently one-on-one.
• 84th minute: Villarrubia added a fourth with a curling effort from the edge of the area, capping a dominant display.

Tactical Story

Villarrubia’s biggest weapon was their coordinated pressing. The front line worked together to cut off passing lanes, forcing Guadalajara B into long clearances that were easily recovered. Once in possession, the hosts attacked with width, stretching the defence before delivering crosses into the box.

Guadalajara B improved slightly after the break and had brief spells of possession, but they were never able to build sustained pressure. Villarrubia’s defensive line remained composed, and the midfield won the majority of second balls.

Standout Performers

The Villarrubia centre-forward was the focal point of the attack, scoring twice and linking play effectively. The right winger caused constant problems with direct running, while the central midfielder controlled the rhythm of the game. For Guadalajara B, the goalkeeper prevented an even heavier defeat with several saves, and the young midfielders showed willingness despite the difficult afternoon.

Table and Season Impact

The three points and the emphatic scoreline give Villarrubia CF a significant boost in the Tercera División RFEF standings, as well as valuable goal difference. For CD Guadalajara B, it is a tough learning experience, but the result underlines the importance of handling pressure and protecting the ball against aggressive opponents.
