CE Atletic Lleida delivered a ruthless away performance to beat UE San Juan Montcada 3-0 in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF, claiming all three points with a display built on efficiency, organisation and clinical finishing. It was a chastening afternoon for the hosts, who were unable to find a way back into the contest.

Match Overview

Atletic Lleida set the tone from the opening exchanges, pressing with purpose and moving the ball with speed. Montcada attempted to establish themselves in the game, but they struggled to break down a well-drilled visiting defence and were repeatedly caught out by quick counter-attacks.

Key Moments

• Atletic Lleida took the lead in the first half, converting a well-constructed attacking move with a composed finish.
• A second goal followed before the break, doubling the visitors' advantage at a crucial moment in the match.
• Montcada pushed forward after the restart in search of a route back, but the visiting goalkeeper remained largely untroubled.
• Atletic Lleida sealed the victory with a third goal, capping an impressively controlled away performance.

Tactical Story

Atletic Lleida's approach was textbook away football: stay compact, defend the central areas, and strike decisively in transition. Their midfield screened the back four intelligently, denying Montcada any space between the lines, while their forwards were clinical when opportunities arose.

For UE San Juan Montcada, the challenge was always going to be breaking down a disciplined opponent. Their build-up play was too slow at times, allowing Lleida's defenders to reorganise, and when they did create half-chances they lacked the finishing touch to capitalise.

Standout Performers

Atletic Lleida's forward players were the difference-makers, taking their chances with composure and precision. The defensive unit and goalkeeper also deserve recognition for a clean sheet that underlined the side's overall control of the match.

Table and Season Impact

This is a result that strengthens Atletic Lleida's standing in the Tercera División RFEF and adds momentum to their campaign. A three-goal away win of this quality sends a clear message to rivals in the division. For Montcada, it is a reminder of the fine margins at this level and a prompt to tighten up defensively ahead of their next fixture.
