UD San Pedro 1-0 Almeria B — Spanish Tercera División RFEF, 20 September 2026

UD San Pedro edged Almeria B 1-0 in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF on Sunday evening, with a second-half goal from Pablo García proving enough to separate the sides at Estadio Municipal de San Pedro. It was a disciplined and hard-working performance from the hosts, who defended their lead with maturity in the closing stages.

Almeria B enjoyed more possession and moved the ball neatly in midfield, but they struggled to turn that control into clear chances. San Pedro stayed compact, pressed at the right moments and took the one big opportunity that came their way. The win gives the home side a valuable boost in a competitive regional group.

Match overview

The first half was a tactical battle, with Almeria B looking to build from the back and San Pedro sitting in a well-organised mid-block. The visitors circulated the ball patiently but found little space between the lines. San Pedro’s best moments came on the counter, with quick transitions and direct running causing occasional alarm in the Almeria defence.

After a goalless first half, the game opened up slightly. Almeria B pushed more players forward, and San Pedro began to find gaps on the break. The decisive moment arrived in the 74th minute when Pablo García met a corner at the back post and guided the ball into the net. From there, San Pedro defended with determination to secure the clean sheet.

Key moments

• 29th minute — Almeria B chance: A low shot from distance forced a save from the San Pedro goalkeeper.
• 52nd minute — San Pedro counter: A quick break ended with a shot deflected wide for a corner.
• 74th minute — UD San Pedro 1-0: Pablo García converted a corner from close range, sparking celebrations at the Estadio Municipal de San Pedro.
• 88th minute — Almeria B pressure: The visitors sent bodies forward, but San Pedro’s centre-backs cleared every dangerous delivery.

Tactical story

San Pedro’s game plan was built on defensive discipline and efficient use of set pieces. They allowed Almeria B to have the ball in harmless areas, concentrating on protecting the centre of the pitch and winning second balls. When they did win possession, they looked to attack quickly through the channels.

Almeria B moved the ball well but lacked penetration in the final third. Their young forwards found it difficult to escape the attention of San Pedro’s experienced defenders, and their best efforts came from long range. The concession from a corner was a frustrating moment for the visitors, who had otherwise defended reasonably well.

Standout players

Pablo García was the match-winner, showing excellent awareness to arrive at the back post for the goal. San Pedro’s goalkeeper Javier was solid throughout, dealing confidently with crosses and making one important first-half save. In defence, the centre-back pairing stood firm under late pressure. For Almeria B, the central midfielder was their most composed performer, but the team lacked a finishing touch.

Season impact

The 1-0 victory gives UD San Pedro a valuable three points and strengthens their position in the Tercera División RFEF table. Almeria B will take lessons from a match in which they controlled possession but failed to score. In a division where points are often decided by small details, San Pedro’s organisation and set-piece threat proved the difference.
