UD Samano produced a ruthless attacking display to thrash CD Guarnizo 4-1 in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF on Monday, with a dominant first-half performance setting the tone at Estadio Vallegón. The win is Samano's most emphatic of the season so far and sends a warning to their promotion rivals.

Match Overview

Samano came flying out of the blocks and were 3-0 up inside 35 minutes. Striker David Ruiz opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a clinical finish, before winger Mario added a second with a curled effort into the top corner. Ruiz then turned provider, setting up Javi for a third. Guarnizo pulled one back just before half-time through a penalty, but any hopes of a comeback were extinguished when Ruiz completed his brace in the 58th minute. The visitors finished the game with ten men after a late red card.

Tactical Story

Samano set up in an adventurous 4-3-3, with high pressing and quick transitions causing Guarnizo all sorts of problems. The front three interchanged positions constantly, making them difficult to mark. Guarnizo tried to play out from the back but were repeatedly caught in possession. After the sending-off, Samano controlled the game with ease, keeping the ball and running down the clock. It was a complete performance from the home side.

Standout Players

David Ruiz was the star of the show, scoring twice and assisting another. His movement and finishing were too much for Guarnizo's defence. Mario was also a constant threat on the wing, while midfielder Sergio dictated the tempo. For Guarnizo, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, and their captain worked tirelessly in midfield despite the defeat.

Table and Season Impact

This resounding win boosts Samano's goal difference and moves them into the promotion playoff places. It also extends their unbeaten run at home. For CD Guarnizo, the heavy defeat leaves them hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone, and the red card will mean a suspension for a key defender. They must regroup quickly to avoid a slide down the table.
