Levante B See Off Ontinyent with Comfortable Home Win

UD Levante B secured a routine 2-0 victory over Ontinyent CF at the Ciudad Deportiva de Buñol on Sunday, extending their unbeaten start to the Tercera División RFEF season. Two first-half goals were enough to see off a spirited but ultimately outmatched Ontinyent side.

The win keeps Levante's reserves firmly in the promotion conversation, while Ontinyent remain in search of their first away points.

Match Overview

Levante B took control from the outset, moving the ball quickly and exploiting space on the flanks. The opener came in the 14th minute when Hugo García cut inside from the left and curled a precise shot into the far corner. Ontinyent tried to respond but struggled to keep possession under Levante's intense pressing.

The second goal arrived in the 38th minute. A clever through-ball released Dani Gómez, who rounded the goalkeeper and slotted into an empty net. Ontinyent improved after the break, creating a few half-chances, but Levante's defence remained solid and never looked like surrendering their lead.

Tactical Story

Levante B deployed a high-pressure 4-3-3 that suffocated Ontinyent's build-up play. The young Levante side pressed in coordinated waves, forcing turnovers and launching quick attacks. Ontinyent, set up in a 4-4-2, were unable to cope with the intensity and often resorted to long balls, which were easily dealt with by the home centre-backs.

In the second half, Levante managed the game intelligently, dropping their intensity slightly but maintaining control. Ontinyent huffed and puffed but lacked the creative spark to break down a well-organised defence.

Standout Players

• Hugo García (Levante B): Scored a superb opening goal and was a constant threat on the wing.
• Dani Gómez (Levante B): Took his goal well and linked play effectively.
• Paco Torres (Ontinyent CF): The goalkeeper made several fine saves to keep the score respectable.

Season Impact

Levante B continue to impress in the Tercera División RFEF, with their young squad showing maturity beyond their years. They are now among the early pacesetters. Ontinyent CF, meanwhile, remain in the lower half and must improve their away form if they are to climb the table. The defeat highlights the gap between the top and bottom sides in the division.
