Match Overview

Tactical Story

SD Beasain lined up in a 4-2-3-1, with their attacking midfielder given freedom to drift between the lines. That movement caused Lagun Onak's back four constant problems, as they struggled to pick up runners. Beasain's two central midfielders dominated the middle third, winning second balls and launching quick attacks. Their width also stretched the visitors, with both full-backs pushing high to create overloads.

Lagun Onak, by contrast, played a more direct 4-4-2, looking to hit their strikers early. It worked in the opening exchanges, but as Beasain gained control, the visitors were forced deeper. Their defensive line dropped too far for the second and third goals, allowing Beasain to play through them with ease. A late switch to three at the back improved their attacking output, but the damage was already done.

Standout Players

Beasain's striker was the undisputed man of the match, scoring twice and providing an assist. His hold-up play and movement in the box were exemplary, and he took his goals with real composure. The attacking midfielder also impressed, dictating the tempo and creating several chances with incisive passes.

For CD Lagun Onak, their captain and central defender was one of the few players to emerge with credit, making several important interceptions and blocks. The goalkeeper kept the score respectable with a string of saves, while the substitute who won the penalty added a spark in the second half.

Table and Season Impact

The win lifts SD Beasain into a more comfortable position in the Tercera División RFEF Group 4 standings, keeping them in the hunt for a playoff spot. For CD Lagun Onak, the defeat leaves them hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone, with defensive frailties becoming a recurring theme. The derby bragging rights belong to Beasain, who will hope this result sparks a sustained run of form.
