Jove Español suffered a 0-2 home defeat against UD Levante B in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF on 24 October 2026, as the visitors combined a disciplined defensive display with two well-timed goals.

Match overview

Jove Español began with plenty of possession but struggled to turn that control into clear chances. Levante B sat compactly in a mid-to-low block and looked dangerous on the break. The visitors took the lead in the 34th minute when Álvaro Gómez found space between the centre-backs and finished neatly past the goalkeeper.

The home side increased their tempo after the interval and pushed more players forward, but Levante B remained organised. The second goal arrived in the 71st minute through Pablo Ruiz, who capitalised on a quick counter-attack and placed his shot beyond the reach of the goalkeeper. Jove Español continued to probe late on, but Levante B managed the closing minutes comfortably to secure a clean sheet and three points.

Key moments

• 34th minute: Álvaro Gómez gives UD Levante B the lead with a composed finish.
• 52nd minute: Jove Español’s best chance is saved by the Levante B goalkeeper.
• 71st minute: Pablo Ruiz doubles the visitors’ advantage on the counter.
• 86th minute: Levante B defend a late corner to preserve the clean sheet.

Tactical story

Jove Español’s possession-heavy approach was built around patient build-up and wing play, but Levante B’s compact defensive shape made it difficult for the hosts to find space in the final third. The visitors were happy to concede territory and strike on transitions, and that strategy paid off with both goals.

Levante B’s midfield screened the back four effectively and limited Jove’s central creativity. When the home side did get wide, crosses were often contested by a well-drilled defence. The away side’s ability to stay calm after taking the lead was central to the result.

Standout performers

Álvaro Gómez and Pablo Ruiz were the match-winners for Levante B, with each taking his goal confidently. The Levante B goalkeeper also deserved credit for a clean sheet and a key second-half save. For Jove Español, the midfield worked hard to keep the team moving forward, but the final pass was missing on too many occasions.

What the result means

The three points give UD Levante B a valuable away win in the Tercera División RFEF and reinforce their reputation as a difficult side to break down. Jove Español remain with work to do after a home defeat that highlighted their need for greater cutting edge in the final third. The result adds another important chapter to the head-to-head record between the two sides.
