Fuenlabrada produced a convincing home performance in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF, defeating AD Torrejon CF 3-1. Match overview

• Competition: Spanish Tercera División RFEF
• Fixture: Fuenlabrada vs AD Torrejon CF
• Final score: Fuenlabrada 3, AD Torrejon CF 1
• Result: Home win

This was a Madrid-region derby, and the stakes were clear from the opening whistle. Fuenlabrada, playing in front of their home support, took the initiative immediately, dominating possession and pinning AD Torrejon CF back in their own half for long periods.

The early pressure told. Fuenlabrada opened the scoring and, crucially, added to their lead rather than sitting on it. By the time the visitors found a response, the home side had already established a firm grip on the contest.

Key moments

The opening goal came from a well-worked move, the product of patient build-up and intelligent movement off the ball. Fuenlabrada's second arrived during a spell in which Torrejon struggled to clear their lines, and the third effectively settled the match.

AD Torrejon CF did manage a goal of their own, a reward for a more purposeful spell after the interval, and briefly there was a sense that a comeback might be possible. But Fuenlabrada managed the game calmly, slowing the tempo and denying their opponents the sustained pressure required to close the gap further.

Tactical story

Fuenlabrada's shape was flexible and aggressive. Their full-backs advanced to create overloads in wide areas, while the midfield rotated to ensure a passing option was always available. This constant movement made it difficult for Torrejon to press effectively.

AD Torrejon CF defended in a deep block for much of the game and struggled to transition into attack. When they did win the ball, the distance to their striker was often too great, allowing Fuenlabrada to recover and reorganise. Their best moments came when they pressed higher after the break — a template they may look to use in future fixtures.

Standout performers

Fuenlabrada's attacking players were the difference-makers, with sharp link-up play and ruthless finishing in the final third. The midfield engine room also deserves credit for controlling the rhythm of the match and winning the majority of second balls.

For AD Torrejon CF, the goalscorer stood out for persistence, while their goalkeeper prevented the scoreline from becoming more emphatic with several saves in the second half.

What it means in the table

Three points and a three-goal performance strengthen Fuenlabrada's standing in the Tercera División RFEF and reinforce their reputation as one of the more dangerous home sides in the group. With the club's senior side long associated with Spanish professional football, supporters will expect a sustained push up the standings.

AD Torrejon CF leave with work to do but with clear lessons. Their second-half improvement showed they can compete when they play with greater ambition, and they will need that approach more consistently if they are to climb away from the lower reaches of the table.
