Crevillente 2-2 Atletico Saguntino — Crevillente and Atletico Saguntino shared the points in a gripping four-goal draw in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF, a match that swung back and forth and left both sides with reasons for satisfaction and regret.

Match Overview

The visitors started the brighter of the two teams, moving the ball quickly and finding space behind Crevillente's defensive line. Their reward was an early lead, but the hosts responded with character rather than panic. By half-time the game was level again, and the second half developed into an open, end-to-end contest with chances at both ends.

League: Spanish Tercera División RFEF. Final score: Crevillente 2, Atletico Saguntino 2.

Key Moments

• Atletico Saguntino took the lead with a well-placed finish after breaking through the middle of the Crevillente defence.
• Crevillente equalised before the interval, converting a penalty won by a driving run into the box.
• The hosts went ahead after the break with a header from a corner that sparked wild celebrations.
• Saguntino levelled late on, a strike from the edge of the area that squirmed under the goalkeeper.
• Both teams had a chance to win it in stoppage time, but neither could find a decisive finish.

Tactical Story

This was a game of transitions. Neither side was able to impose sustained control, and possession repeatedly changed hands in midfield, creating a stream of counter-attacking opportunities. Crevillente's aerial threat from set pieces was their most reliable weapon, while Atletico Saguntino looked most dangerous when their attacking midfielders drifted into the half-spaces and combined with quick one-twos. Both coaches made attacking substitutions in the closing 20 minutes, which contributed to the chaotic finish.

Standout Performers

Crevillente's target forward was a constant physical problem, winning flick-ons and drawing the foul that led to the penalty. Their goalkeeper made two crucial saves in the second half. For Atletico Saguntino, the standout was the creative midfielder who provided both assists and dictated the tempo of their better passages, while their late substitute added fresh energy in the final third.

Table and Season Impact

A draw in the Tercera División RFEF is often described as a fair result, and this one fits that description. Crevillente will be frustrated at conceding late and dropping two points at home, but the point extends their unbeaten run at their own ground. Atletico Saguntino show again that they are difficult to beat and possess genuine attacking quality on the road. With the table tightening, both clubs know that turning draws into wins is the difference between mid-table comfort and a push toward the promotion places.
