CP Parla Escuela and CD Colonia Moscardo played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF on 27 September 2026, a result that left both sides with a share of the points after a pulsating contest at the Campo de Fútbol de Parla. Four goals, momentum swings and a tense finish made this one of the more watchable fixtures of the matchday.

Match Overview

Both teams came into the game with something to prove in the early weeks of the Tercera División RFEF season, and the openness of the contest reflected that ambition. Parla Escuela, playing in front of their home crowd, looked to impose themselves from the start, while Colonia Moscardo combined defensive discipline with sharp counter-attacking. The result was a game that ebbed and flowed, with neither side ever fully in control.

Key Moments

• Early pressure: Parla Escuela started the brighter, pressing high and forcing Colonia Moscardo into hurried clearances in the opening exchanges.
• Opening goal: The hosts made their early dominance count, breaking the deadlock and lifting the home support.
• Visitors respond: Colonia Moscardo hit back, showing the resilience that has become their trademark, and levelled the score before the break.
• Second half swing: The game turned again after the restart as both teams traded goals, leaving the scoreline locked at 2-2.
• Late drama: Both sides pushed for a winner in the closing stages, with chances at either end, but neither could find the decisive fifth goal.

Tactical Story

Parla Escuela's game plan revolved around possession and patient build-up, using the width of the pitch to stretch the Colonia Moscardo defence. It worked in patches, particularly in the first half, but the hosts were repeatedly exposed when they lost the ball in advanced areas. Colonia Moscardo were quick to exploit those turnovers, transitioning directly and testing the Parla goalkeeper on the break.

The visitors' compact defensive shape forced Parla to work hard for their openings, and their ability to score twice away from home says much about their attacking quality. Equally, the home side's willingness to keep pushing after being pegged back showed character, and a draw was arguably the fairest reflection of a balanced contest.

Standout Players

The goalscorers on both sides took the headlines, with Parla Escuela's forwards linking well and Colonia Moscardo's attacking players showing sharp movement in the final third. Midfield battles were fiercely contested throughout, and both goalkeepers were called into action at important moments to keep the scoreline level.

Season Impact

A point apiece keeps both clubs moving in mid-table territory in the Tercera División RFEF, with the league's tightly packed standings meaning every result carries weight. Parla Escuela will be encouraged by their attacking output but concerned about conceding twice on home soil, while Colonia Moscardo will take confidence from a solid away performance and a well-earned point. Both teams now turn their attention to their next fixtures as the season begins to take shape.
