Colegios Diocesanos Secure 2-0 Home Victory Over CD Calasanz de Soria

Colegios Diocesanos claimed a solid 2-0 win against CD Calasanz de Soria on 11 October 2026 in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF. The 18:00 kick-off saw the hosts produce a composed, efficient display, scoring in each half and keeping their opponents at arm's length to secure all three points in front of their home supporters.

Match Overview

From the early stages, Colegios Diocesanos looked the more assertive side, pressing with purpose and moving the ball quickly through midfield. CD Calasanz de Soria attempted to stay compact and frustrate their hosts, but the breakthrough came and, once it did, the balance of the match tilted decisively in favour of the home team.

The second goal effectively settled the contest. With a two-goal lead and their defensive structure intact, Colegios Diocesanos were able to control the tempo of the closing period, denying the visitors the sustained possession they needed to mount a comeback.

Key Moments

• First-half breakthrough: Colegios Diocesanos opened the scoring, rewarding their early dominance.
• Second goal: The hosts extended their lead, putting genuine distance between themselves and CD Calasanz de Soria.
• Defensive control: A well-organised back line limited the visitors' chances and protected the clean sheet.
• Professional finish: The final stages were managed without panic, with the home side seeing the game out comfortably.

What the Result Means

Winning at home while keeping a clean sheet is the foundation of any successful campaign at this level, and Colegios Diocesanos will take real satisfaction from a performance that combined attacking efficiency with defensive discipline. The result strengthens their position and provides valuable confidence heading into the next round of fixtures.

CD Calasanz de Soria will travel home disappointed, having been unable to generate enough attacking threat to trouble the scoreline. In the Tercera RFEF, where goals are often scarce and margins are thin, going two goals behind on the road is a difficult deficit to overturn.

Season Context

The Tercera División RFEF represents the fifth tier of Spanish football, organised into multiple regional groups that emphasise local rivalries and community support. Clubs at this level typically blend experienced local players with emerging academy talent, and home form frequently proves decisive in the race for promotion and the battle against relegation. A 2-0 home win may not dominate headlines, but within the group's standings, results like this one carry real weight over the course of a season.
