CF Montanesa 1-0 Fundacio Esportiva Grama — CF Montanesa claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Fundacio Esportiva Grama in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF on Sunday, September 20, 2026. A single goal at Camp Municipal de Montañesa was enough to secure all three points in a tightly contested Catalan derby.

Match Overview

The match was decided by a moment of quality in the 63rd minute. Montanesa worked the ball patiently around the edge of the penalty area before a clever reverse pass released their attacking midfielder, who slotted a low shot beyond the Grama goalkeeper. It was the kind of goal that had been coming, as the hosts had gradually increased the pressure after a cautious opening.

Fundacio Esportiva Grama defended with discipline for long periods and looked dangerous on the break. They had a strong appeal for a penalty turned down in the first half and forced two good saves from the Montanesa goalkeeper after the interval. But the equalizer never arrived, and Montanesa held on for a hard-fought clean sheet.

Key Moment

The decisive moment came in the 63rd minute. Montanesa's midfielder found space between the lines, played a one-two on the edge of the box and finished with composure. It was a goal that rewarded the home side's persistence and proved to be the difference between the two teams.

Tactical Story

Montanesa lined up in a compact 4-2-3-1, looking to control the game through short passing and patient build-up. Grama responded with a 4-4-2 block that made it difficult for Montanesa to find gaps in central areas. The hosts therefore shifted their attack to the flanks, delivering a series of crosses that kept the Grama defence under pressure.

After taking the lead, Montanesa dropped slightly deeper and protected their advantage with disciplined defensive work. Grama pushed more players forward in the final 15 minutes, but Montanesa's back four remained organized and limited clear chances. The home side's game management in the closing stages was a key part of the victory.

Standout Players

Montanesa's goalscorer was the obvious hero, but their goalkeeper deserves credit for two important saves that preserved the clean sheet. The centre-back pairing also stood firm under late pressure. For Fundacio Esportiva Grama, the central midfielder worked tirelessly, while their left winger was a constant outlet on the counter-attack.

Season Impact

The three points lift CF Montanesa in the Tercera División RFEF standings and give them momentum for the next round of fixtures. For Grama, the narrow defeat is a tough result to take, but their performance showed they can compete in tight matches.
