CE Mercadal 1-3 Constancia — Constancia produced a composed away performance in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF on 3 October 2026, defeating CE Mercadal 3-1 at the Camp Municipal de Mercadal. The visitors combined early pressure with ruthless second-half finishing to take all three points in a Balearic Islands clash that had implications at both ends of the table.

Match Overview

The match kicked off at 21:45 and quickly settled into a pattern of Mercadal possession and Constancia counter-attacking. Mercadal tried to use the width of their home pitch, pushing their full-backs high and looking for crosses into the penalty area. Constancia, however, were compact in midfield and dangerous whenever they won the ball back. After an encouraging start from the hosts, the game tilted toward the visitors once the opening goal arrived.

Key Moments

• 14' — Constancia take the lead: Miquel Alzamora latched onto a loose ball just inside the box and drilled a low shot beyond the Mercadal goalkeeper.
• 38' — Mercadal equalise: Sergi Vidal found space at the edge of the area and curled a fine effort into the bottom corner to make it 1-1.
• 67' — Constancia restore their advantage: Joan Rosselló rose highest from a corner and headed home to put the visitors back in front.
• 84' — Constancia seal it: Aitor Pons finished off a rapid counter-attack, slotting past the goalkeeper to complete the 3-1 scoreline.

Tactical Story

Constancia set up in a disciplined 4-2-3-1, inviting Mercadal forward before breaking at speed. Their two holding midfielders protected the back line and allowed the wide players to isolate Mercadal's full-backs. Mercadal's 4-3-3 created some promising moments, especially in the first half, but they struggled to track runners after losing possession. The decisive period came after the hour mark, when Constancia's superior game management and set-piece threat turned a tight contest into a clear away win.

Standout Players

Joan Rosselló was influential for Constancia, combining his aerial threat with intelligent link-up play. Miquel Alzamora set the tone with the opening goal, while Aitor Pons capped a strong substitute appearance with the third. For Mercadal, Sergi Vidal was the bright spot, scoring a well-taken equaliser and constantly looking to create chances. Their goalkeeper also made several important saves to keep the deficit respectable.
