CD Lealtad and Caudal Play Out Goalless Draw

CD Lealtad and Caudal shared the points in a 0-0 draw in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF on 18 October 2026, with both defences coming out on top in a hard-fought contest. Clear chances were limited, but the match remained competitive throughout, with neither side willing to take unnecessary risks in the closing stages.

The goalless scoreline reflected the balance of play. CD Lealtad had slightly more possession, especially in the first half, while Caudal defended resolutely and looked dangerous on the break. In the end, both goalkeepers produced important saves to preserve their clean sheets.

Match Overview

CD Lealtad started the game with patient build-up and looked to work the ball into wide areas. Caudal responded by defending in a compact shape, denying space in central areas and forcing the hosts to cross from deeper positions. The first half produced a handful of half-chances but no decisive moment.

The second half became more stretched as both teams searched for a winner. CD Lealtad pushed more players forward, while Caudal threatened through quick counterattacks. A late flurry of set-pieces created tension, but neither side could find the finishing touch. The final whistle confirmed a point apiece.

Key Moments

• 18th minute: CD Lealtad created the first real opening, but the shot was blocked inside the penalty area.
• 37th minute: Caudal broke quickly on the counter, forcing a fine save from the home goalkeeper.
• 55th minute: CD Lealtad went close from a corner, with the header drifting just wide.
• 69th minute: Caudal had a goal ruled out for offside after a neat passing move.
• 88th minute: A late free-kick gave CD Lealtad one final chance, but the defence cleared the danger.

Tactical Story

CD Lealtad’s approach was based on possession and gradual progression, but they found it difficult to break through Caudal’s disciplined defensive block. The hosts often had to recycle the ball, and their best moments came from set-pieces and second balls. Caudal, meanwhile, defended with concentration and looked to attack through direct runs when they won possession.

As the game wore on, the tactical discipline of both sides remained intact. CD Lealtad were wary of leaving space behind, and Caudal were content to stay compact and wait for counterattacking opportunities. The result was a match short on goals but full of commitment and defensive quality.

Standout Players

Both goalkeepers deserved credit for clean sheets, with each making a key save in the second half. CD Lealtad’s centre-backs dealt well with late pressure, while Caudal’s midfield worked tirelessly to protect the back line and launch transitions. The attacking players on both sides found space hard to come by against well-organised defences.

Table Impact

The draw gives both teams another point in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF, though each will feel they could have pushed harder for a winner. For CD Lealtad, the clean sheet is a positive building block; for Caudal, an away point and a solid defensive display will be welcomed. In a tightly contested group, such hard-earned draws can prove valuable over the course of the season.
