CD Estradense produced a stirring late comeback to beat Viveiro CF 3-2 in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF, turning a tense Galician contest into one of the more dramatic results of the round. Estradense trailed for much of the second half but found the goals needed to secure a valuable home win.

Match overview

The match began with both sides testing each other cautiously, but it did not take long for the game to open up. Viveiro CF looked organised and dangerous on the break, while CD Estradense tried to impose themselves through possession and pressure in wide areas. The visitors took the lead first, silencing the home crowd and forcing Estradense to respond.

Estradense equalised before half-time, but Viveiro regained the advantage after the break and looked close to sealing the result. Instead, Estradense pushed more players forward in the final 20 minutes, and their persistence paid off with two late goals that flipped the match on its head.

Key moments

• Viveiro opener: The visitors struck first after a well-executed attacking move caught Estradense’s defence out of position.
• Estradense equaliser: The home side responded before the interval, finishing off a sustained spell of pressure.
• Viveiro retake the lead: Early in the second half, Viveiro restored their advantage and threatened to control the game.
• Late revival: Estradense found an equaliser in the closing stages before snatching the winner in a frantic finish.

Tactical story

CD Estradense’s strength came from their willingness to keep pushing even after setbacks. They dominated territory in the second half, forcing Viveiro deeper and creating repeated problems from crosses and second balls. The home side’s midfield kept recycling possession well, allowing their forwards to attack with support.

Viveiro CF were effective in transition and looked dangerous whenever they broke quickly. Their lead was built on compact defending and sharp counterattacking, but as the game wore on, they dropped too deep and struggled to relieve pressure. Estradense’s late surge exposed that fatigue and turned the match in their favour.

Standout performers

Estradense’s attacking players deserve credit for maintaining their composure in the final minutes. The home captain drove the team forward, while the substitutes made a clear impact by adding energy and urgency. Viveiro’s goalkeeper made several important saves, and their forward line caused problems throughout, but the visitors could not hold on.

League impact

The win gives CD Estradense three important points in the Tercera División RFEF and strengthens their position in a fiercely competitive division. For Viveiro CF, the defeat is a painful one after leading twice, and it highlights the need to manage late-game situations more effectively. In a league where fine margins matter, Estradense’s ability to fight back could prove valuable over the course of the season.

The final score CD Estradense 3-2 Viveiro CF was a fitting reward for the home side’s persistence and a harsh outcome for a Viveiro team that had controlled long spells of the contest.
