CD Colonia Moscardó and Las Rozas played out a competitive 1-1 draw in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF at the Estadio Román Valero on 18 October 2026. The hosts took the lead in the first half, but Las Rozas responded with a determined second-half equaliser to earn a share of the points.

Match overview

This was a game of contrasting styles. CD Colonia Moscardó were compact, direct and dangerous from set pieces, while Las Rozas favoured patient possession and looked to create openings through quick combinations around the penalty area. The visitors saw more of the ball, but the home side carried a real threat on the break and defended their box with commitment.

After an evenly contested opening, Colonia Moscardó found the breakthrough and briefly looked capable of taking control. Las Rozas, however, stayed patient, adjusted their pressing after the interval and were rewarded with an equaliser that their second-half pressure deserved.

Key moments

• Hosts take the lead: Colonia Moscardó opened the scoring after a well-worked attacking sequence, finishing from inside the area.
• Las Rozas respond: The visitors threatened before half-time through a header and a low effort from distance, forcing the home goalkeeper into action.
• Equaliser: Las Rozas levelled in the second half after a sustained spell of possession, finding space between the lines and finishing calmly.
• Late chances: Both teams had opportunities to win it, but strong goalkeeping and some last-ditch defending kept the score level.

Tactical story

Las Rozas built their game around control. Their midfield rotated well, switched play from side to side and tried to pull Colonia Moscardó out of shape. The home side were happy to defend in a mid-block, limiting central access and forcing Las Rozas wide. That approach worked for long periods, but the equaliser came when the visitors finally found a way to combine through the middle rather than around the outside.

Colonia Moscardó's attacking plan was more vertical. They looked to win the ball in midfield and move forward quickly, often targeting the channels behind Las Rozas' full-backs. The home side's best moments came from those transitions, but as the game wore on, they dropped deeper and had to rely on resilience to hold on for a point.

Standout performers

Las Rozas' central midfielder was influential, setting the tempo and repeatedly finding pockets of space. The visitors' goalkeeper also made two important saves in the second half. For Colonia Moscardó, the centre-back partnership stood out for its positioning and aerial strength, while the forward line caused problems with intelligent movement and hold-up play.

What the result means

A point apiece keeps both sides in the thick of the Tercera División RFEF table. Colonia Moscardó will value the defensive discipline but may feel they could have protected their lead better. Las Rozas will take confidence from their response and their control of long spells, though they will want to turn possession into more clear-cut chances in future matches.
