CD Buñol and Eldense B played out a 1-1 draw in a closely contested Tercera División RFEF Group 6 encounter. Both teams had spells of dominance, but neither could find a decisive second goal.

Match Overview

At the Estadio Municipal de Buñol, the hosts started brightly and took the lead through a well-crafted move. However, Eldense B, the reserve team of CD Eldense, grew into the game and equalized in the second half. The final stages saw chances at both ends, but a combination of good goalkeeping and wayward finishing meant the points were shared.

Key Moments

• 27th minute: Buñol take the lead. A quick one-two on the edge of the box opens space for a low shot into the corner.
• 51st minute: Eldense B hit the post from a free-kick, a warning sign for the home side.
• 68th minute: Eldense B equalize. A cross from the right is met with a firm header that beats the goalkeeper.
• 84th minute: Buñol’s best chance to win it — a volley from six yards is somehow cleared off the line.

Tactical Story

Buñol set up in a 4-4-2, looking to press high and force errors. That worked early on, but Eldense B’s young midfielders gradually found their rhythm, using quick passing to bypass the press. The visitors’ equalizer came from a switch to a more direct approach, targeting the space behind Buñol’s full-backs. Buñol responded by pushing their wingers higher, but the game became stretched, and both sides settled for a point in the end.

Standout Players

Buñol’s midfield anchor David Gómez was excellent, breaking up play and starting attacks. The goalscorer, Carlos Miralles, showed sharp finishing. For Eldense B, the equalizing scorer Pablo Esteve was a constant aerial threat, while young goalkeeper Iker Soler made a crucial late save to preserve the draw.

Season Impact

The draw leaves both teams in mid-table early in the campaign, with Buñol perhaps feeling they dropped two points at home. Eldense B will be encouraged by their resilience away from home. In the ultra-competitive Tercera División RFEF, every point matters, and this could prove to be a valuable one for both sides come the end of the season.
