CD Beti Onak 1-3 CD Izarra: Izarra Take Navarra Bragging Rights in Tercera División RFEF

CD Izarra claimed a convincing 3-1 away victory over CD Beti Onak in their Spanish Tercera División RFEF fixture, using a sharp first-half display and a well-managed second half to secure all three points. The Navarra meeting gave Izarra an important boost in the regional table, while Beti Onak were left to reflect on a home performance that promised more than it delivered.

The final scoreline reflects Izarra’s greater cutting edge in the final third. Beti Onak competed well for long spells and pulled a goal back to briefly threaten a comeback, but Izarra’s control in midfield and ability to punish transitions proved decisive.

Match Overview

Izarra settled quickly and looked the more purposeful side in possession, moving the ball with patience before looking for runners behind the Beti Onak defence. The visitors’ early pressure was rewarded when they opened the scoring, and they soon doubled their advantage as Beti Onak struggled to close down space in and around the penalty area.

Beti Onak responded with a spell of pressure before the interval and were rewarded with a goal that gave the home crowd renewed hope. However, Izarra restored their two-goal cushion at an important moment and then protected that lead with maturity after the break. The away side’s game management in the closing stages was particularly impressive, limiting Beti Onak to speculative efforts and half-chances.

Key Moments

• Opening breakthrough: Izarra struck first after a sustained spell of possession, finding space between Beti Onak’s midfield and defence.
• Second goal: The visitors doubled their lead with a quick attacking transition that exposed Beti Onak’s stretched back line.
• Beti Onak response: The home side reduced the deficit before the break, lifting the intensity and forcing Izarra deeper.
• Decisive third goal: Izarra scored at a crucial stage to end Beti Onak’s momentum and take firm control of the contest.

Tactical Story

Izarra’s shape without the ball was one of the key features of the match. They compacted the central areas, forced Beti Onak wide and then won the ball back in positions from which they could attack quickly. Their midfield trio set the tempo, combining short passes with direct runs that repeatedly asked questions of the home defence.

Beti Onak’s best moments came when they increased the tempo and got support around the striker. Their goal was a reward for that approach, but sustaining pressure proved difficult against an Izarra side that defended with discipline and counter-attacked with purpose. The home side’s full-backs pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but that left space for Izarra to exploit late on.

Standout Performances

Izarra’s midfield was central to the win, offering control in possession and energy in transition. The forward line also impressed with its movement, stretching Beti Onak’s defence and creating room for late arrivals. For Beti Onak, the goalkeeper made several important saves to keep the scoreline respectable, while their central defenders battled hard against sustained pressure.

Season Impact

The three points are valuable for Izarra in the Tercera División RFEF standings, especially because away victories in a competitive Navarra group can shape a season. For Beti Onak, the result highlights the need for greater consistency at home and better protection of key moments either side of half-time. Both sides will now turn their attention to the next round of fixtures, with Izarra able to build on a strong attacking display and Beti Onak seeking a response.
