CD Barco 1-1 Sarriana — CD Barco and Sarriana shared the points in a 1-1 draw in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF on 18 October 2026, with both sides creating enough chances to win a closely contested match at Calabagueiros. The result leaves both teams with mixed feelings after an intense and evenly matched encounter.

Match overview

Sarriana started the brighter and took the lead in the first half with a well-worked goal, silencing the home crowd. CD Barco responded with increased urgency before half-time, pushing more players forward and testing the Sarriana goalkeeper. The equaliser eventually arrived in the second half after a sustained period of pressure.

Both teams had opportunities to find a winner in the closing stages. CD Barco dominated possession and sent crosses into the box, while Sarriana looked dangerous on the counter. Neither side could find the decisive goal, and a draw was a fair reflection of a match that was competitive from start to finish.

Key moments

• 31st minute: Sarriana took the lead with a composed finish after a quick passing move.
• 44th minute: CD Barco forced a save from the Sarriana goalkeeper with a header from a corner.
• 67th minute: The hosts equalised with a low finish after building pressure in the second half.
• 79th minute: Sarriana nearly regained the lead with a shot that went just wide.
• 90+2: CD Barco sent a late free-kick into the box, but the Sarriana defence cleared.

Tactical story

CD Barco controlled much of the ball, especially after falling behind. They used the width of the pitch well, stretching Sarriana’s defence and creating space for midfield runners. The hosts’ equaliser came from exactly that kind of pressure: sustained possession followed by a decisive final ball into the penalty area.

Sarriana were more direct and looked to exploit the spaces left by Barco’s advanced full-backs. Their first-half goal was a perfect example of their counter-attacking approach, and they remained a threat throughout. In the end, Barco’s territorial control was balanced by Sarriana’s sharper breaks, producing a draw that felt justified.

Standout performers

CD Barco’s midfield dictated the tempo and kept the team pushing for the equaliser, while their goalkeeper dealt confidently with Sarriana’s counter-attacks. Sarriana’s goalscorer was their brightest attacking player, and their centre-backs made several important clearances under pressure.

What it means

The draw gives both sides a point in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF, a division where small margins often decide promotion races and playoff places. CD Barco will be pleased with their response after conceding first, but they may regret not converting their second-half dominance into a winner. Sarriana, meanwhile, will take confidence from an away performance that showed resilience and attacking quality.
