Churriana de la Vega produced a stirring away performance to beat Atlético Porcuna CF 3-2 in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF, winning a five-goal thriller that swung one way and then the other. The visitors led, were pegged back, and then found a decisive third goal to take all three points from a difficult away trip.

Match Overview

Porcuna started brightly in front of their own supporters and looked the more assertive side in the opening exchanges, but Churriana de la Vega struck first against the run of play with a sharp finish on the counter. The hosts responded well and levelled the score, only for the visitors to restore their advantage before half-time.

The second half was a frantic, end-to-end affair. Porcuna equalised for a second time, bringing the home crowd to life, but Churriana refused to settle for a draw. Their third goal, which arrived after a spell of sustained pressure, proved decisive, and the away side defended with real commitment through a tense finale that included several stoppages and a flurry of corners.

Key Moments

• Opening goal: Churriana de la Vega took the lead with a clinical counterattacking move, finishing calmly despite early Porcuna pressure.
• Porcuna equaliser: The hosts levelled with a well-placed shot from the edge of the area, lifting the home crowd.
• Half-time lead restored: Churriana scored again before the break to go into the interval 2-1 up.
• Second leveller: Porcuna equalised once more in the second half, setting up a dramatic finish.
• The winner: Churriana's third goal proved the difference, and the visitors held firm under late pressure.
• Full time: Atlético Porcuna CF 2, Churriana de la Vega 3.

Tactical Story

Churriana de la Vega set up to absorb pressure and attack in transition, a plan that worked perfectly against a Porcuna side that committed numbers forward. Their wide forwards were a constant threat on the break, and the speed with which they moved the ball from defence to attack repeatedly caught the home team short at the back.

Porcuna's attacking play was patient and purposeful, and twice they found the answers to Churriana's defensive block. However, a tendency to leave gaps in midfield when chasing the game proved costly, and the third goal came from precisely the kind of quick turnover the visitors had been hunting all afternoon.

Standout Performers

Churriana's attacking trio shared the plaudits, with the centre-forward holding the ball up effectively and the two wide players providing pace and directness. Their goalkeeper also made three or four important saves, particularly in the closing stages when Porcuna threw bodies forward in search of an equaliser.

For Atlético Porcuna CF, the midfield playmaker was the team's driving force, creating chances and scoring from distance. The full-backs pushed high and delivered good service into the box, but the defensive unit as a whole will be disappointed with the ease at which they were cut open on the counter.

Standings Impact

An away win in a five-goal contest is a significant psychological boost for Churriana de la Vega, who have shown they can score goals on the road and handle the pressure of a tight finish. In the Tercera División RFEF, where away form often determines whether a side challenges at the top or drifts into mid-table, this result carries real weight.

Atlético Porcuna CF, meanwhile, are left to reflect on a frustrating afternoon in which their attacking efforts deserved more. Conceding three goals at home is a concern, and tightening up defensively while maintaining their forward threat will be the priority in the weeks ahead. A rematch between these two teams would be well worth watching.
