Atletico Onubense 0-3 CD San Roque de Lepe: Clinical Visitors Earn Commanding Tercera División RFEF Win

CD San Roque de Lepe delivered an impressive away performance to beat Atletico Onubense 3-0 in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF on 18 October 2026. The visitors scored early, controlled the rhythm of the match, and added further goals either side of half-time to secure a deserved clean sheet.

The result is a significant one for CD San Roque de Lepe, who combined attacking efficiency with defensive solidity. Atletico Onubense, by contrast, struggled to find fluency in possession and were punished for giving the ball away in dangerous areas.

Match overview

CD San Roque de Lepe made the brighter start and took the lead inside the opening ten minutes. That early goal changed the shape of the contest, forcing Atletico Onubense to push forward while leaving space for the visitors to counter-attack. San Roque looked comfortable without the ball and dangerous whenever they won it back.

Atletico Onubense improved in brief spells but could not turn territory into clear chances. The second goal shortly before half-time was a major blow, and although the hosts tried to respond after the break, San Roque’s third goal ended any realistic hope of a comeback.

Tactical story

CD San Roque de Lepe’s pressing structure was the foundation of the win. They closed down Atletico Onubense’s midfield quickly and forced long passes, then used quick transitions to attack the spaces left behind. Their front players combined well, and the midfield supported with late runs into the penalty area.

Atletico Onubense wanted to build from the back, but San Roque’s intensity made that difficult. The hosts often ended up playing sideways or backwards, allowing the visitors to reset their defensive shape. When Atletico did break forward, they lacked the final pass, and San Roque’s centre-backs dealt comfortably with crosses into the box.

Standout performers

San Roque’s No. 10 was at the heart of nearly every dangerous attack, linking midfield and forward play with sharp touches and intelligent movement. The visitors’ central defender also produced a commanding display, winning aerial duels and stepping out to intercept passes.

Atletico Onubense’s goalkeeper made several saves to prevent the scoreline from becoming heavier and could not be blamed for the goals. The home side’s captain tried to drive the team forward from midfield, but he was often surrounded by San Roque shirts.

What the result means

The 3-0 victory gives CD San Roque de Lepe a valuable three points and a confidence-boosting clean sheet in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF. Their away form will be crucial if they are to compete near the top of the table. Atletico Onubense must regroup quickly, particularly in possession, after a defeat that exposed the gap between their build-up play and San Roque’s clinical execution.
