Amurrio and Suodu Pei Play Out Goalless Draw in Tercera División RFEF

Amurrio and Suodu Pei shared the points in a 0-0 draw in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF on Sunday, September 20, 2026. The match at Estadio Basarte was a cagey, hard-fought contest, with both defences on top and clear chances at a premium.

The result leaves both sides with a point apiece, reflecting a night of disciplined defending and limited attacking quality in the final third.

Match Overview

The first half was largely a midfield battle. Amurrio tried to build through the flanks, while Suodu Pei pressed aggressively and looked to launch quick counter-attacks. The best chance of the opening period came in the 22nd minute when Amurrio’s striker headed narrowly over from a corner.

Suodu Pei thought they had taken the lead in the 54th minute, but the goal was disallowed for offside after a long ball over the top. Amurrio responded with pressure of their own, forcing two saves from the visiting goalkeeper. Despite late set pieces for both teams, neither could find a breakthrough.

Key Moments

• 22nd minute: Amurrio header from a corner goes just over the crossbar.
• 54th minute: Suodu Pei have a goal ruled out for offside after a quick counter.
• 71st minute: Amurrio’s winger forces a diving save with a low shot from the edge of the box.
• 88th minute: Suodu Pei goalkeeper claims a dangerous cross under pressure.
• 90+2 minute: Amurrio send a free-kick wide as the match ends level.

Tactical Story

Amurrio lined up in a 4-4-2 and looked to create width, but Suodu Pei’s compact midfield made it difficult to play through the middle. The visitors used a 4-2-3-1 shape and were happy to absorb pressure before breaking quickly. Both teams defended their penalty areas well, with centre-backs winning most aerial duels.

The game lacked a true creative spark, but the tactical discipline on display was notable. Amurrio’s full-backs pushed forward in the second half, yet Suodu Pei’s defensive midfielders covered the spaces effectively. In the end, a draw felt like a fair reflection of a balanced contest.

Standout Players

Amurrio goalkeeper: Commanded his box well and made a crucial save in the second half to keep the scores level.

Suodu Pei centre-back: Won numerous headers and read the game intelligently, snuffing out Amurrio’s crosses.

Amurrio midfielder: Covered ground tirelessly and was his team’s main source of forward passes in a tight midfield battle.

Standings and Season Impact

The draw keeps Amurrio in a stable mid-table position in the Tercera División RFEF, though they will be frustrated not to take three points at home. Suodu Pei earn a valuable away point, which could prove important in their fight for consistency.

With the season still young, both sides will look to turn draws into wins. Amurrio need more creativity in the final third, while Suodu Pei will take confidence from a solid defensive performance on the road.
