AD Unión Adarve and Fuenlabrada played out a 2-2 draw in the Spanish Tercera División RFEF on Sunday, 27 September 2026. The 18:00 match at the Campo Municipal Vereda de Ganapanes was a lively encounter in which Fuenlabrada twice came from behind to earn a share of the points.

With Fuenlabrada among the promotion favourites and Unión Adarve eager to prove themselves against a former professional club, the game had a cup-tie atmosphere from the first whistle.

Match Overview

AD Unión Adarve made a dream start. Inside the opening ten minutes, Álvaro Muñoz latched onto a through ball and slotted past the Fuenlabrada goalkeeper to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. The early goal lifted the home crowd and forced Fuenlabrada to chase the game.

Fuenlabrada responded with growing authority. Their equaliser arrived on 41 minutes when Borja Galán found space at the back post and converted a measured cross. But Unión Adarve restored their advantage after the break, with Jorge Sáez finishing off a quick counterattack in the 67th minute.

Tactical Analysis

Unión Adarve set up with a high press, looking to disrupt Fuenlabrada's rhythm and force mistakes in their own half. It worked early on, and their two goals both came from quick transitions rather than lengthy possession.

Fuenlabrada, however, showed why they are considered one of the strongest teams in the division. They remained patient, kept moving the ball into wide areas and eventually wore down the Adarve defence. Their penalty late on was the reward for sustained second-half pressure.

Standout Players

Borja Galán was Fuenlabrada's most influential player, scoring the first equaliser and constantly finding pockets of space between the lines. His experience and composure were vital in a difficult away fixture.

For Unión Adarve, Álvaro Muñoz and Jorge Sáez both took their goals well, while the midfield worked tirelessly to limit Fuenlabrada's central penetration. The home side will be disappointed not to have held on, but their performance underlined their potential.

Season Impact

Fuenlabrada remain in the thick of the promotion race, though they will know that dropping points against mid-table sides can add up quickly. The character shown in coming back twice will please the coaching staff.

Unión Adarve will take confidence from pushing a strong opponent all the way. A point against Fuenlabrada is a solid result, but the manner of the late equaliser will leave a lingering sense of what might have been.
