SD Logrones and Naxara played out a 1-1 draw in the Spanish Segunda División RFEF on 18 October 2026, with both sides taking a point from a closely contested match that swung on two very different goals.

Match overview

SD Logrones enjoyed the better of the possession and created more sustained pressure, but Naxara's compact defensive shape and quick counterattacks kept the home side honest. The visitors took the lead against the run of play in the first half, and SD Logrones needed until after the interval to find an equalizer.

The draw felt like a fair reflection of a game in which neither team managed to dominate for the full 90 minutes. SD Logrones pushed for a winner in the closing stages, but Naxara defended resolutely and nearly snatched a second goal on the break.

Key moments

Naxara opened the scoring midway through the first half after winning the ball in midfield and breaking quickly. A through ball split the SD Logrones defence, and the forward rounded the goalkeeper before finishing into an empty net. The home side responded with a series of corners and long-range efforts, but Naxara's goalkeeper was equal to them.

The equalizer came shortly after the break. SD Logrones worked the ball wide and delivered a cross that was only partially cleared, allowing a midfielder to strike from the edge of the box. The shot took a slight deflection and found the bottom corner, lifting the home crowd and changing the momentum of the match. Both sides had chances to win it late, but neither could find a decisive finish.

Tactical story

SD Logrones built patiently from the back and tried to use width to stretch Naxara's narrow defensive block. The home side's full-backs pushed high, but that also left space for Naxara's counterattacks. Naxara were happy to defend deep and break quickly, and their game plan nearly produced a second goal in the second half.

SD Logrones' substitutions added urgency, with fresh legs in midfield and attack. However, Naxara's defenders stayed disciplined, clearing crosses and blocking shots in the penalty area. The final stages were tense, but both teams settled for a point.

Standout performers

SD Logrones' central midfielder was influential in possession and scored the equalizer, while the goalkeeper made a smart save to deny Naxara a second goal. Naxara's forward caused problems with movement and pace, and their goalkeeper produced several important stops. The visitors' centre-backs also deserve credit for their aerial defending under late pressure.

League impact

The point keeps both teams moving in the Spanish Segunda División RFEF table, though SD Logrones may feel they missed an opportunity to take all three at home. Naxara will be pleased with their resilience and the effectiveness of their counterattacking plan. With the league schedule moving quickly, both sides will look to build on the draw in their next fixtures.
