Tactical story

Real Madrid C’s game plan revolved around possession and patient build-up, but they struggled to break down a well-organized Alcala defense. The home side defended narrow, protected the central areas, and forced the visitors to play around them rather than through them. When Alcala won the ball, they looked to attack quickly through the channels.

The goalless draw highlighted both teams’ strengths and limitations. Real Madrid C had control but lacked a cutting edge in the final third, while Alcala showed excellent defensive discipline but could not turn their second-half pressure into a goal. The result leaves both sides with a point and plenty to work on in the coming weeks.

Standout players and standings impact

The RSD Alcala Henares goalkeeper was the standout performer, making the game’s most important save and commanding his box under late pressure. Alcala’s centre-backs also deserved credit for their positioning and aerial strength. For Real Madrid C, the midfield trio kept the ball moving well, but the forward line was unable to find the decisive moment. The point keeps both teams in the tightly packed Segunda División RFEF standings, where defensive solidity and small margins continue to shape the promotion race.
