Eibar B secured a solid 2-0 away victory at Ourense CF in the Spanish Segunda División RFEF on September 20, 2026, with a disciplined and efficient performance that silenced the home crowd. Two well-taken goals either side of half-time were enough to claim all three points against a disappointing Ourense side.

Match Overview

Ourense CF started brightly, enjoying early possession and forcing a couple of corners, but they failed to test the Eibar B goalkeeper. The visitors absorbed the pressure and took the lead in the 28th minute with a swift counter-attack. The second goal arrived in the 61st minute, effectively putting the game beyond Ourense. The hosts huffed and puffed but never looked like mounting a comeback against a well-drilled Eibar B defence.

Tactical Story

Eibar B set up in a compact 4-4-2, happy to concede possession and strike on the break. Ourense CF tried to dominate with a 4-3-3, but their passing was slow and predictable, allowing Eibar B to stay organised. The visitors' midfield duo screened the back four brilliantly, and their wingers tracked back diligently. Ourense's full-backs pushed high but were repeatedly caught out by Eibar B's rapid transitions.

Standout Players

Eibar B's goalscorers were clinical, but the real hero was their goalkeeper, who made two crucial saves to preserve the clean sheet. The centre-back pairing were dominant in the air, and the captain in midfield controlled the game with simple, effective passing. For Ourense CF, their attacking midfielder showed flashes of creativity but lacked support from his teammates.

What It Means for the Table

Eibar B climb up the Segunda División RFEF standings with this away win, boosting their hopes of a strong campaign. Ourense CF remain in the bottom half and are still searching for consistency at home. The result highlights the competitive nature of the division, where organised away performances are often rewarded with maximum points.
