The result gives Murcia B an important boost in the league standings and adds another dramatic chapter to the Murcia B vs Lorca Deportiva head-to-head. For Lorca Deportiva, it was a frustrating afternoon: the visitors showed character to recover from a two-goal deficit, but they left empty-handed after conceding late.

Match overview

Murcia B started with purpose, pressing high and looking to move the ball quickly through midfield. The reserves of Real Murcia were the sharper side in the opening half-hour, and their early pressure was rewarded with a two-goal advantage. Lorca Deportiva, by contrast, took time to settle, but once they found a rhythm they became a genuine threat on the counterattack.

The game’s five-goal tally reflected its open nature. Murcia B were dangerous whenever they attacked down the flanks, while Lorca Deportiva’s best moments came from quick transitions and set-piece situations. Neither defence looked fully comfortable, and the crowd was treated to a contest that never felt safe at any stage.

• 12th minute: Murcia B opened the scoring after a sustained spell of possession, finishing from close range after a low cross from the right.
• 38th minute: The home side doubled their lead with a well-worked move through midfield, capped by a composed finish inside the penalty area.
• 45th minute: Lorca Deportiva responded before the break, pulling one back with a header from a corner to change the mood of the match.

Tactical story

Murcia B’s approach was built on energy and width. Their full-backs pushed forward regularly, creating overloads against Lorca Deportiva’s defensive line, and the midfield trio worked hard to win second balls. That aggressive style helped them establish the early lead, but it also left space behind for Lorca Deportiva to exploit as the game wore on.

Lorca Deportiva adjusted well after falling behind. Their midfield dropped deeper to protect the central areas, and they began to use direct passes into the channels to relieve pressure. The equaliser came from exactly that pattern: a compact defensive shape followed by a fast break. However, the visitors were ultimately punished for failing to manage the final minutes, when Murcia B pushed extra bodies forward and found the winning goal.

Standout performers

Murcia B’s attacking players deserved credit for their persistence. The home side’s wide forwards were constant outlets, while the central striker held the ball up effectively and brought others into play. In midfield, Murcia B’s captain set the tempo and remained composed even after Lorca Deportiva’s comeback.

For Lorca Deportiva, the response after a difficult start was encouraging. Their goalkeeper made several important saves to keep the deficit manageable, and the midfield battled well in the second half. The visitors’ set-piece delivery also caused problems, producing the goal that brought them back into the contest.

Standings and season impact

The win strengthens Murcia B’s position in the Segunda División RFEF table and gives the reserve side momentum in a division where consistency is often difficult to find. Three points from a match of this nature can be valuable later in the season, especially when goal difference and head-to-head records begin to shape the promotion and relegation picture.

Lorca Deportiva will view the result as a missed opportunity. A draw would have reflected their second-half recovery, but the late concession leaves them with work to do in the coming fixtures. The team’s fighting spirit was evident, yet the defensive details in key moments proved costly.

What it means

For Murcia B, the 3-2 victory is more than just a local bragging right. It shows that the side can respond under pressure, protect a result, and find a late goal when the game appears to be slipping away. For Lorca Deportiva, the challenge is to turn promising spells into points. In a competitive Segunda División RFEF campaign, those small margins can define the sea
