CF La Nucia 1-3 Lorca Deportiva: Clinical Away Display Secures Lorca Win

Lorca Deportiva FC produced an efficient away performance to beat CF La Nucia 3-1 in the Spanish Segunda División RFEF on 12 October 2026. The visitors scored at key moments, absorbed pressure and then punished La Nucia on the break to claim all three points at the Estadi Olímpic Camilo Cano.

The victory strengthens Lorca's position in the upper half of the table and adds to their reputation as one of the more dangerous counter-attacking teams in the division. La Nucia, meanwhile, were left to reflect on a game in which they saw plenty of the ball but lacked the final touch.

Match Overview

La Nucia began brightly and forced two early corners, but it was Lorca who opened the scoring in the 9th minute. A quick turnover in midfield sent Juanpe clear, and the striker finished low into the bottom corner. La Nucia responded well and equalised in the 31st minute when a cross from the right was headed home by Kike Martínez.

The game swung back in Lorca's favour just before half-time. In first-half stoppage time, a well-worked move down the left ended with a cut-back that Juanpe converted for his second goal of the match. La Nucia pushed forward after the break, but Lorca defended with discipline and added a third in the 78th minute through a fast break finished by winger Álvaro Sanz.

Key Moments

• 9' – Lorca take the lead: Juanpe capitalised on a loose pass and finished confidently.
• 31' – La Nucia equalise: Kike Martínez powered a header past the goalkeeper from a right-wing cross.
• 45+2' – Lorca restore the lead: Juanpe tapped in his second after a low cross from the left.
• 78' – Lorca seal the win: Álvaro Sanz finished a rapid counter-attack to make it 3-1.

Tactical Story

La Nucia dominated possession for long spells, building patiently from the back and looking to overload the flanks. But Lorca's 4-4-2 mid-block was well organised, closing the central lanes and inviting La Nucia to cross into a crowded box. When Lorca won the ball, they transitioned quickly, often using Juanpe as a focal point and sending runners beyond him.

The decisive phase came just before and after half-time. La Nucia had worked hard to get back into the game, but conceding in first-half stoppage time changed the psychological balance. Lorca then managed the second half expertly, slowing the tempo and striking on the counter for the third goal.

Standout Players

Juanpe was the clear man of the match, scoring twice and leading the line with strength and intelligent movement. Álvaro Sanz added pace and directness on the wing, while Lorca's centre-back pairing dealt well with La Nucia's crosses. For La Nucia, Kike Martínez was their brightest performer, scoring and linking play, but he lacked support in the final third.

Season Impact

Lorca Deportiva move closer to the promotion play-off places with a result that underlines their away-day threat. La Nucia remain in need of consistency, particularly at home, where dropped points are already making the standings look congested. The 3-1 scoreline flattered neither side: Lorca were ruthless, while La Nucia were left to rue their missed chances.
