CD Guadalajara 4-4 Real Valladolid B produced an extraordinary eight-goal spectacle in the Spanish Segunda División RFEF on 26 October 2026, with the points shared after a thrilling contest at Estadio Pedro Escartín. The match had everything: early goals, lead changes, defensive errors and a late equalizer. Neither side was able to hold on for victory, but both contributed to one of the most entertaining games of the matchday.

Match overview

CD Guadalajara started brightly and took the game to Real Valladolid B, using quick attacking transitions to test the away defense. Valladolid B responded with pace of its own, and it soon became clear that the match would be played at a high tempo. The first half set the tone for an open, end-to-end encounter.

The second half was even more chaotic. Guadalajara twice looked close to taking control, but Valladolid B refused to go away. Each time the home side edged ahead, the visitors found a response. The final equalizer capped a remarkable comeback and left both teams with a point after a scoreline that few would have predicted before kick-off.

Key moments

Guadalajara opened the scoring early with a well-placed finish after a quick break. Valladolid B equalized soon after, punishing a loose pass in midfield. The home side restored its lead before half-time, but Valladolid B again responded to keep the game level at the interval. The pattern continued after the break, with both defenses struggling to cope with the speed of the attacks.

In the final 20 minutes, the match became a sequence of scoring chances. Guadalajara moved ahead twice, only for Valladolid B to equalize. The final goal came late, when Valladolid B took advantage of space in the box and found the finish that made it 4-4. The home crowd was stunned, but the entertainment value was undeniable.

Tactical story

Both teams prioritized attacking transitions over defensive security, which created a wide-open game. Guadalajara’s midfielders pushed forward aggressively, leaving space behind them, while Valladolid B’s young side attacked with speed and directness. The result was a match with little control in the middle and plenty of chances at both ends.

Guadalajara will be frustrated by its defending. Leading multiple times at home and failing to win is a difficult outcome to accept, especially in a division where clean sheets are so valuable. Valladolid B, however, showed excellent character and attacking quality. The visitors kept fighting and were rewarded with a point that looked unlikely at several stages.

Standout performers

Both center-forwards had influential games, leading the line and occupying defenders. Guadalajara’s attacking midfielder was creative in the final third and helped drive the team forward, while Valladolid B’s wide players caused problems with their pace. The goalkeepers were busy throughout, even if they will feel some of the goals could have been prevented.

Season impact

The draw gives each team one point, but the bigger story is the defensive work both sides must do. CD Guadalajara showed they can score goals in bunches, yet their promotion ambitions will require greater control. Real Valladolid B demonstrated resilience and attacking potential, but conceding four away from home is also a warning. In the Segunda División RFEF, entertainment is welcome, but balance is what wins promotion.
