CA Osasuna Promesas 1-0 CD Ebro — Osasuna Promesas edged past CD Ebro with a narrow 1-0 victory in the Spanish Segunda División RFEF, courtesy of a second-half goal at the Tajonar training complex.

Match Overview

The reserve side of CA Osasuna produced a mature performance against an experienced Ebro outfit, controlling long spells of the game without ever fully killing it off. A single goal proved enough to secure all three points, moving the young Navarrese side up the early-season standings and extending their encouraging start to the campaign.

Key Moments

• 31’ — Osasuna Promesas create the first real opening, but a curling effort from the edge of the box drifts just wide.
• 54’ — The breakthrough arrives. A neat exchange on the right flank ends with a low cross that is turned in by Iker Muñoz from six yards.
• 72’ — Ebro’s best chance falls to their striker, but a superb reflex save from the Osasuna goalkeeper keeps the lead intact.
• 88’ — Osasuna almost double the advantage on the counter, but the final shot is blocked bravely.

Tactical Story

Osasuna Promesas lined up with a youthful 4-3-3, pressing high and looking to impose their rhythm on the game. Ebro, more pragmatic, sat in a compact block and tried to frustrate the hosts. The young Osasuna midfield trio dictated the tempo, and their patience was rewarded when they finally found a way through after the break. Defensively, the home side remained concentrated, limiting Ebro to very few clear sights of goal.

What the Result Means

For Osasuna Promesas, the win is another step in their development, providing valuable minutes for the club’s rising talents. Ebro, meanwhile, will rue their lack of cutting edge and remain in need of points to climb away from the lower reaches of the table. The victory keeps Osasuna’s momentum going as they continue to balance youth development with competitive results.
