Celta Vigo B and Tenerife played out a 1-1 draw in their Spanish Segunda Division meeting, with both sides taking a share of the points after a closely contested encounter. The home side set the tempo early and were rewarded for their aggressive pressing, while Tenerife responded with greater composure in possession and found an equaliser before the break.

Match overview and key moments

Celta Vigo B’s youthful energy caused problems down the flanks, and their opening goal came from a quick attacking transition that caught Tenerife’s back line exposed. Tenerife, however, grew into the game and levelled through a well-worked move that stretched the home defence. Both teams had chances to win it late on, but decisive defending and some sharp goalkeeping kept the score level.

The result adds another point to Tenerife’s promotion push and gives Celta Vigo B further evidence of their development progress. In a division where away points are valuable, Tenerife will take encouragement from their response, while Celta Vigo B will feel they did enough to claim more than a draw.
