Match Overview

San Felix CF U19 started brightly, pressing Arenas de Armilla CyD U19 high and forcing mistakes in the visitors’ build-up. The home side’s midfield was energetic and creative, constantly finding pockets of space between the lines. Arenas de Armilla struggled to keep possession for long enough to relieve pressure, and their defensive shape was tested repeatedly in the first half.

Once San Felix took the lead, they never surrendered control. They moved the ball with purpose, switched play from side to side, and created chances through both central combinations and wide overlaps. Arenas de Armilla worked hard to stay in the game, but the quality of San Felix’s final third play made the difference.

How San Felix Built the Win

The opening goal settled any early nerves and set the tone for the match. San Felix’s midfield won the ball back quickly and released an attacker into space, leading to a composed finish. The second goal came from a well-worked move down the wing, with a dangerous cross converted at the back post. The third arrived in the second half, effectively ending any hope of a comeback.

San Felix’s defensive line stayed high and compact, catching Arenas de Armilla offside on several occasions. The hosts also dominated set-pieces, winning most aerial duels and limiting the visitors to shots from distance. It was a complete team performance, with contributions from every department.

Tactical Story

San Felix CF U19 used a high press to disrupt Arenas de Armilla’s rhythm and force long passes. Their midfield three rotated constantly, making it difficult for the visitors to mark them. In possession, San Felix were patient but vertical, looking to penetrate rather than simply keep the ball. The full-backs provided width, while the front players made intelligent runs across the defence.

Arenas de Armilla CyD U19 tried to adapt by dropping deeper, but that allowed San Felix to sustain attacks around the box. When the visitors did counter, they lacked numbers in support. The match became a lesson in controlling territory and tempo, with San Felix rarely looking troubled after taking the lead.

For Arenas de Armilla CyD U19, the defeat highlights areas to improve, particularly building out from the back and defending crosses. In a long youth season, the response in the next match will matter more than this single setback.
