CF Alhendin Balompie U19 produced a commanding second-half performance to beat Calavera CF U19 3-1 in the Spanish U19 League on Sunday evening, turning a tight contest into a convincing home victory. Three goals and a disciplined defensive display lifted the Andalusian side to a result that underlines their credentials in a fiercely competitive youth division.

Played under the lights at 18:40, the match followed a familiar pattern for junior football at this level: bright, technical spells in possession from both sides, punctuated by moments of defensive naivety. What separated the teams was Alhendin's ruthlessness in the final third and their ability to control the rhythm of the game once they had a lead to protect.

Match Overview

Calavera started brightly, holding the ball well in midfield and looking to build patiently from the back. Their early possession asked questions of Alhendin's pressing structure, but the hosts gradually found their footing, tightening the distances between the lines and forcing turnovers higher up the pitch.

Once Alhendin began to win the ball in advanced areas, the balance of the match shifted decisively. Their first goal arrived from exactly that kind of situation — a recovered ball, a quick exchange, and a finish into the bottom corner. From that moment, the home side looked the more confident and more purposeful team.

Key Moments

• Opening goal: Alhendin broke the deadlock with a well-constructed move, working the ball into the box before finishing calmly.
• Double advantage: A second goal before the interval gave the hosts a cushion that reflected their growing control.
• Calavera response: The visitors pulled one back with a sharp finish, briefly restoring belief in a comeback.
• Game sealed: Alhendin restored their two-goal lead in the second half and managed the closing stages with maturity.

How Alhendin Won It

The foundation of Alhendin's win was their pressing. Rather than sitting off and allowing Calavera to dictate tempo, they engaged high, cut off passing lanes into midfield and forced their opponents into hurried decisions. That approach generated a steady supply of possession in dangerous areas and, crucially, denied Calavera the time they needed to play out cleanly.

In possession, Alhendin were patient and structured. Their build-up play drew Calavera's midfield forward before releasing the ball into the spaces behind, and their wide players consistently stretched the visiting defence. The third goal, in particular, came at the end of a move that involved several quick passes and a well-timed run into the penalty area — a clear sign of a team that has been well coached in attacking rotations.

Calavera's consolation goal was no more than a reward for their persistence. They kept probing down the flanks and found a way through when Alhendin momentarily switched off after taking a two-goal lead. It was a warning that the hosts answered convincingly, tightening up for the remainder of the contest.

Standout Performers

Alhendin's midfield trio set the tone for the evening, combining energy out of possession with composure on the ball. The player operating in the number ten role was particularly influential, linking attacks and finding pockets of space between Calavera's defensive and midfield lines.

At the back, Alhendin's central defenders dealt impressively with Calavera's attempts to play direct, winning the majority of their aerial duels and stepping out confidently to intercept passes. The goalkeeper's distribution also played a part, allowing the team to bypass the first line of pressure and start attacks quickly.

For Calavera, the standout contribution came from their attacking players, who never stopped running and were rewarded with a goal. Their left-sided player in particular caused problems with direct running and delivered several dangerous crosses that went unconverted.

What the Result Means

This 3-1 victory gives CF Alhendin Balompie U19 an important boost in the Spanish U19 League, reinforcing their standing among the stronger sides in their group. Winning at home against a technically capable opponent such as Calavera CF U19 is exactly the kind of result that builds momentum over the course of a long youth season.

For Calavera, the defeat is a reminder of how punishing the division can be. They competed well in phases and showed real quality in possession, but the gap between creating chances and taking them proved decisive. Improving their defensive organisation when out of possession will be the priority for the coaching staff in the coming weeks.

Looking Ahead

Alhendin will travel with confidence to their next fixture, buoyed by a performance that combined attacking fluency with defensive disc
