Levante UD Women were held to a 0-0 draw by Fundacion CD Tenerife B Women in the Spanish Segunda Futfem on 18 October 2026. The home side enjoyed the better of the possession and created the clearer chances, but a determined defensive display from Tenerife B earned the visitors a valuable point in Valencia.

Match overview

Levante started brightly and looked to impose themselves through quick passing and wide overloads. Tenerife B responded with a deep, organised block and tried to threaten on the counter. The first half was largely played in the visitors’ half, but the final ball was often missing or met by a well-placed defender.

After the break, Levante increased the tempo and forced a series of corners and crosses, yet the breakthrough would not come. Tenerife B defended with concentration and relied on their goalkeeper for several important saves. The final whistle left Levante frustrated and Tenerife B satisfied with a hard-earned clean sheet.

Key moments

• 14th minute: Levante’s first clear chance was saved by the Tenerife B goalkeeper.
• 39th minute: A Levante effort struck the crossbar after a flowing move down the left.
• 68th minute: Tenerife B’s goalkeeper made a strong save from a close-range header.
• 85th minute: A last-ditch clearance prevented a late Levante winner.

Tactical story

Levante dominated possession and pushed their full-backs high, creating space on the flanks. Tenerife B responded by narrowing their defensive lines and forcing Levante into crosses rather than central combinations. The visitors also looked to break quickly when they won the ball, though those counterattacks rarely produced a final shot.

The match was a classic case of possession without penetration. Levante moved the ball well but could not find the decisive run or finish, while Tenerife B executed their defensive plan almost perfectly.

Standout performers

The Tenerife B goalkeeper was the player of the match, making a series of saves and commanding her area. Levante’s central midfielder kept the team ticking and created several openings, while the home centre-back dealt well with the rare counterattacks. Tenerife B’s defenders also deserve credit for their composure under sustained pressure.

Season impact

The dropped points are a setback for Levante UD Women in the Segunda Futfem promotion race, especially given their control of the game. Fundacion CD Tenerife B Women, meanwhile, will view the draw as a strong away result and a platform for their next fixtures. Both sides will take different lessons from a match that ended without a goal but was not short of effort.
