Tactical story

Levante set up in a 4-3-3 and looked to attack quickly after winning the ball, targeting the space behind Atletico's attacking full-backs. Atletico Madrid B Women used a 4-2-3-1 and tried to press high, but that approach left them exposed to Levante's direct running. Both midfields struggled to control the tempo, leading to a game of constant transitions.

Levante's front three rotated constantly, making it difficult for Atletico's centre-backs to pick up runners. Atletico's best moments came when they slowed the game down and combined through central areas, but they could not sustain that control. Levante's set-piece delivery was also a major weapon, producing two goals from dead-ball situations.

Standout performers

Levante's No. 9 was the headline act, scoring a hat-trick and linking play brilliantly. The Levante No. 10 added two goals and two assists, while the right winger tormented the defence throughout. For Atletico Madrid B Women, the centre-forward scored twice and held the ball up well, and the goalkeeper made several saves despite conceding eight. The Atletico captain never stopped driving the team forward.

Table impact

The win strengthens Levante UD Women's position in the Spanish Segunda Futfem standings and sends a clear message about their attacking potential. Atletico Madrid B Women remain a work in progress, but the experience of such a high-scoring match will be valuable for their young players. Both teams will now turn their attention to tightening their defences, because while the neutrals enjoyed the goals, the coaches will focus on the chances conceded.
