Deportivo Coca FC fell to a comprehensive 3-0 defeat against Numancia B in the Spanish Regional League on October 10, 2026. The visitors, the reserve team of CD Numancia, produced a professional away performance to secure all three points and extend their impressive run of form.

Match Overview

Deportivo Coca FC entered the match hoping to use home advantage to spring a surprise against one of the league's strongest squads. However, Numancia B's superior organization and technical quality were evident from the first whistle. The visitors took an early lead and never relinquished control, adding two more goals in the second half to complete a dominant victory.

Coca struggled to keep possession and were repeatedly undone by Numancia B's high press. The home side's best moments came from set-pieces, but they lacked the finishing touch to trouble the scoreline. The result leaves Deportivo Coca FC rooted in the lower half of the table, while Numancia B continue their push for promotion.

• 55' — A second goal for the visitors, a header from a cross, doubled the lead.

Tactical Story

Numancia B lined up in a fluid 4-2-3-1, with their attacking midfielders interchanging positions to pull Coca's defence apart. Their high pressing was relentless, forcing the home side into frequent turnovers in dangerous areas. The two holding midfielders screened the back four effectively, allowing the full-backs to push forward and provide width.

Deportivo Coca FC attempted to play out from the back but were consistently closed down. Their 4-4-2 lacked the dynamism to cope with Numancia B's movement, and the midfield was overrun. The home side's only route back into the game was through long balls to their target man, but he was well marshalled by the visiting centre-backs. It was a tough evening for the Coca coaching staff, who will need to find solutions quickly.

Standout Players

Numancia B's centre-forward was the best player on the pitch, scoring twice and holding the ball up brilliantly. His movement and finishing were of a standard well above the regional league. The attacking midfielder also impressed with his creativity and work rate, while the goalkeeper made a crucial save at 1-0 to preserve the clean sheet.

For Deportivo Coca FC, the goalkeeper kept the score from being even more embarrassing, making several saves. The captain tried to drive his team forward, but it was a night of few positives for the home side.

Table and Season Impact

The victory keeps Numancia B firmly in the promotion race in the Spanish Regional League, underlining their status as one of the division's elite reserve sides. For Deportivo Coca FC, the defeat leaves them in a precarious position and increases the pressure to start picking up points, especially at home. With a long season ahead, Coca must regroup quickly to avoid being cut adrift at the bottom.
