CD Cabecense 3-2 UP Viso: Five-Goal Thriller Ends in Home Joy

CD Cabecense claimed a dramatic 3-2 victory over UP Viso in the Spanish Regional League on Sunday, September 27, 2026. In a match that kicked off at 18:00 local time, the home side twice surrendered a lead before finding a late winner to secure all three points in front of their own supporters.

The result adds another memorable chapter to the regional campaign, with Cabecense showing attacking ambition and UP Viso proving resilient away from home. Five goals, momentum swings, and a decisive finish made this one of the standout fixtures of the weekend.

Match Overview

Cabecense started with purpose and looked to play through the middle with quick combinations. UP Viso, by contrast, sat slightly deeper and looked to spring forward on the counter. That contrast shaped the opening exchanges, with the hosts enjoying more of the ball but Viso always carrying a threat when they won possession in wide areas.

The home side’s early pressure paid off, and even after being pegged back, Cabecense never lost their belief. The match remained open until the final stages, and the winning goal arrived at a moment when both teams seemed to be settling for a draw.

Key Moments

• 12th minute: Cabecense opened the scoring through Iker Salas, who finished calmly after a flowing move down the right.
• 28th minute: UP Viso responded well, with Sergio Perales equalising from the edge of the box after a loose clearance.
• 54th minute: Rubén Herrera restored Cabecense’s lead, heading home from a well-delivered corner.
• 71st minute: Viso levelled again through Javi Rivas, who converted a low cross at the back post.
• 84th minute: Cabecense found the winner when Molina arrived late in the box and drilled a shot into the bottom corner.

Tactical Story

Cabecense lined up with a flexible 4-2-3-1, using their full-backs high to stretch UP Viso’s back line. The midfield duo kept the tempo moving, and the hosts repeatedly targeted the space between Viso’s centre-backs and full-backs. Their set-piece work also proved important, producing the second goal.

UP Viso’s 4-4-2 block was compact for long spells, and their two forwards worked hard to press Cabecense’s build-up. The away side’s best moments came when they switched play quickly and attacked the channels. However, they struggled to contain Cabecense’s late runners, which ultimately cost them a point.

Standout Players

Iker Salas was central to Cabecense’s attacking play, scoring the opener and linking well between the lines. Rubén Herrera controlled the midfield and added a goal, while Molina produced the match-winning moment. For UP Viso, Sergio Perales was the brightest spark, scoring one and creating several counter-attacking chances.

What the Result Means

The win gives CD Cabecense a valuable boost in the Spanish Regional League standings and reinforces their home form. For UP Viso, the defeat is a frustrating one, especially after twice fighting back to level the score. They will take encouragement from their attacking display but will need to tighten up defensively in the coming weeks.
