Tactical story

Grama’s build-up play was patient and focused on the flanks, where their full-backs overlapped regularly. However, Badalona Futur’s midfield dropped deep to protect the central corridor, forcing Grama into crosses that were comfortably defended. The home side’s best moments came from second balls around the edge of the box, but they lacked a finishing edge.

Badalona Futur’s game plan was clear: stay compact, press selectively, and strike in transition. Their goal came from exactly that approach, with a quick switch of play creating space on the right before a low delivery was turned in. After taking the lead, they managed the tempo well and limited Grama’s clear chances.

Standout players

Marc Vidal’s match-winning goal made him the obvious decisive figure for Badalona Futur. Their goalkeeper also deserves credit for a composed performance, including a crucial save late in the second half. In defence, the centre-back pairing dealt with Grama’s crosses and held their line well under pressure.

For Fundacio Esportiva Grama, the midfield worked hard to keep the team moving forward, and the wide players provided energy and width. The home side will be frustrated that their territorial advantage did not translate into goals, but the effort and intent were evident.

Season impact

The away win gives CF Badalona Futur an important boost in the SPA RC standings and rewards their disciplined approach. Winning narrowly on the road is often a sign of a team that can grind out results when the performance is not entirely fluent.

Fundacio Esportiva Grama, meanwhile, will look to convert possession into clearer chances in their next match. The defeat is a setback, but the performance showed enough control and attacking intent to suggest they can respond quickly.
