Match Overview

Mulier FCN Women started fast and never let up. They opened the scoring early with a well-placed finish, then doubled their lead from a corner. CD Lourdes (W) pulled one back with a smart counter-attack, but Mulier responded immediately to restore their two-goal cushion. By half-time, the home side had a comfortable lead and complete control of the midfield.

The second half was even more open. Lourdes scored again to make it 4-2 at one stage, briefly raising hopes of a comeback, but Mulier’s attacking quality proved too much. They added two more goals in the final 20 minutes, sealing an emphatic 6-2 victory that had the home supporters celebrating a memorable attacking performance.

Key Moments

The opening goal came inside the first 10 minutes, a low drive from the edge of the box. The second was a header from a set piece. Lourdes hit back with a quick break, but Mulier’s third goal just before half-time was a crucial blow. In the second half, Lourdes made it 3-2 with a penalty, but Mulier responded with a fourth almost immediately. The fifth and sixth goals were the result of fatigue and space opening up, with Mulier’s substitutes making a direct impact.

Tactical Story

Mulier FCN Women played with a high line and aggressive press, looking to win the ball back quickly and attack in numbers. Their midfielders made runs beyond the strikers, causing confusion in the Lourdes defence. CD Lourdes (W) tried to sit deeper and counter, and they had some success with long balls over the top, but they could not cope with Mulier’s sustained pressure for 90 minutes.

The key difference was in wide areas. Mulier’s full-backs overlapped constantly, creating two-on-one situations and delivering dangerous crosses. Lourdes struggled to track those runs, and the home side’s finishing was clinical. Defensively, Mulier will be slightly disappointed to concede twice, but the attacking display more than compensated.

Standout Players

Mulier’s striker was the star of the show, scoring a hat-trick and linking play expertly. The left winger was a constant threat, providing two assists and scoring once. In midfield, the deep-lying playmaker controlled the tempo and started most attacks. For CD Lourdes (W), the forward who scored the penalty and the winger who created the first goal were the most positive performers, but the team as a whole struggled defensively.

League Impact

The 6-2 win is a major statement in the Spanish Ladies Premier League C, boosting Mulier FCN Women’s goal difference and confidence. Three points in such style can lift a team’s season, and Mulier will now believe they can challenge at the top end of the table. For CD Lourdes (W), the result is a setback, but the two goals show they can hurt opponents going forward. They will need to tighten up defensively to climb the standings.
