CD Atletico Lince Women produced a ruthless away performance in the Spanish Ladies Premier League C on 26 October 2026, thrashing Gimnastica Segoviana (W) 6-0. The visitors set the tone from the opening minutes, pressed with real intent and turned their superiority into a steady flow of goals, leaving the home side with no route back into the contest.

Match Overview

Atletico Lince were sharper in every department. They moved the ball quickly through midfield, attacked with width and repeatedly forced Gimnastica Segoviana into rushed clearances. The home side tried to build from the back, but turnovers in dangerous areas allowed Lince to sustain pressure and create a string of clear chances.

By half-time the game was already moving away from Segoviana. Lince’s movement between the lines pulled the home defence out of shape, and their finishing in the box was clinical. After the break, the pattern did not change: Lince kept the tempo high, won second balls and added further goals as spaces opened up.

Key Moments

• 11th minute: Atletico Lince opened the scoring after a quick move down the right, with a low cut-back converted from close range.
• 23rd minute: A high turnover in midfield led to a swift second goal, giving Segoviana little time to reorganise.
• 38th minute: Lince added a third from a corner, a header that underlined their dominance in the air.
• 57th minute: A composed finish after a flowing passing move made it 4-0 and effectively ended any hope of a comeback.
• 72nd minute: Lince’s substitute forward got in behind the defence and finished confidently for the fifth.
• 85th minute: A late sixth goal capped a complete away performance.

Tactical Story

Atletico Lince’s high press was the foundation of the result. Their midfield stayed compact, forced Segoviana wide and then used the touchline as an extra defender. When they won the ball back, they attacked directly, with runners from midfield supporting the forward line. The away side also dominated set-pieces, which turned an already difficult afternoon into a long one for the hosts.

Gimnastica Segoviana, by contrast, struggled to keep possession for long enough to relieve pressure. Their defensive block sat too deep at times, and when they did win the ball, the spacing between midfield and attack was too large. The home goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score from becoming even heavier.

Standout Performers

Atletico Lince’s centre-forward was central to the win, scoring twice and linking play intelligently, while the midfield captain controlled the rhythm and repeatedly broke up Segoviana’s attempts to counter. The visiting full-backs also deserve credit for their energy, pushing high without leaving the defence exposed.

For Segoviana, the goalkeeper was one of the few positives, making a number of reflex saves and staying composed despite the scoreline. The result is nevertheless a painful one, and the team will need a rapid defensive reset before its next fixture.

What It Means

The three points strengthen Atletico Lince’s position in the Spanish Ladies Premier League C standings and give them a significant boost to their goal difference. A 6-0 away win also sends a clear message to the rest of the division about their attacking potential. For Gimnastica Segoviana, the focus now shifts to restoring confidence, tightening the defensive shape and making the home ground a more difficult place to visit.
