Tinex Sencur edged a tight Slovenia 3.Liga contest with a 1-0 away win at Svoboda Ljubljana on Saturday, 26 September 2026. The only goal of the game came in the second half, and it was enough to secure all three points in a match defined by defensive organisation and fine margins.

Match overview

Svoboda Ljubljana began the game with purpose, moving the ball quickly and trying to create openings through the middle. Tinex Sencur, however, were well-drilled and happy to soak up pressure before hitting on the break. The first half produced few clear chances, with both goalkeepers largely untroubled.

The breakthrough arrived after the restart. Tinex Sencur won a free-kick in a dangerous area, and the delivery was met with a glancing header that found the bottom corner. Svoboda pushed more players forward in response, but Tinex Sencur defended their box with courage, blocking shots and clearing crosses to preserve the clean sheet.

Key moments

• Winning goal: A well-delivered free-kick was headed home to give Tinex Sencur the lead.
• Big save: The Tinex Sencur goalkeeper tipped a powerful drive over the bar.
• Late block: A goal-bound shot was deflected wide as Svoboda pressed for an equaliser.
• Game management: Tinex Sencur kept possession in the corners during the final minutes.

Tactical story

Svoboda Ljubljana lined up in a 4-2-3-1, looking to dominate possession and play through the thirds. Tinex Sencur used a compact 4-4-2 without the ball, retreating into a low block and forcing Svoboda into wide areas. That defensive discipline limited clear sights of goal, and Tinex Sencur’s threat from set-pieces proved decisive.

Standout players

Tinex Sencur’s centre-back was outstanding, winning headers and making timely interceptions throughout. Their goalkeeper also produced a composed performance, while the free-kick taker delivered the game’s defining moment. Svoboda Ljubljana’s playmaker tried to unlock the defence with clever passes, but he was often crowded out by a hard-working midfield.

What it means

The away win gives Tinex Sencur a valuable lift in the Slovenia 3.Liga, rewarding their tactical discipline and set-piece quality. Svoboda Ljubljana will rue their lack of cutting edge, but their overall performance suggests they will remain competitive if they can convert more of their possession into clear chances.
